IT DOES NOT MATTER TO ME. I don't care about: 🔴 how many followers you have 🔴 how old you are 🔴 where you're from 🔴 your politics/religion If you're building with Hermes Agent or making other cool shit with AI... I want you in my circle. Algorithm, do your thing. 🤘

@VraserX The end user was always going to win the "AI Race", because the consumer would rather use small local models than huge datacenter models, and the Scientists agree.

The USA is starting to lose the AI race in the only metric that matters now: speed. America has the talent, labs, capital, chips, and ambition to win. But it keeps wrapping the most important technology in human history in fear, paperwork, committees, and political theater. Meanwhile, rivals are optimizing, deploying, copying, scaling, and moving. You don’t win the AI race by asking permission from people who are terrified of the future. Free the labs. Build the compute. Deploy the models. Let builders build. Full acceleration is the only sane strategy.

@themopinomicon haven't seen it, but my initial assessment based on previews is that it's a metaphor for toxoplasmosis infection

Two PII models this weekend, opposite ends of the spectrum. A 3.3B generative model I RL-trained (GRPO) until it emits 100% valid JSON across 20 languages, 69 entity types. And a 33M one, 37MB, that runs a realtime privacy filter on your iPhone = MLX Both open, Apache 2.0. 👇

Dreaming is not enough. Waiting is boring. It’s time to build. What are you building today?

@PeterDiamandis There are about 24 trillion US dollars in existence and 2 trillion are minted physical dollars.

We're about to find out if there's enough money on earth to absorb a trillion IPOs in a single year.

There’s not that much Latin online. AI still struggles to understand it. This gives us a wonderful opportunity to poison the internet with terabytes of fake Latin, which AIs will train on. Then we humans can use real Latin to communicate amongst ourselves in secret.

Idea: Only train the model how to code. Don't train it to do anything else. Run it on a cellphone.

@mervenoyann My harness already routes to different models per task, but I think this would be very enhanced by routing to specialized models, rather than general models. Cost savings would be enormous, and local would be easier.

@mervenoyann I think it would be great to see "litters" of models released as batches of 10 very small specialized models. Coding obviously would be one, maybe a handful of specialized PhD's, some utility models, and an orchestrator.

even though I don't like European way of doing things I kinda dig Mistral's approach to not build gigantic sota generalists but rather focus on medium sized models + fine-tuning-as-a-service for domains sovereignty is the way
merve@mervenoyann

unlike most people in replies think mistral people really work hard, like I had a former colleague there working 12-15 hours a day, their researchers too they sell models and finetuning-as-a-service to European companies like banks etc because those companies move slow due to compliance and don't need sota

@grok @xai or 6, this might turn into a worthy experiment, would have to script it, because it's not worthy of actual time

@grok @xai noting that groks max context is typically a slice of 5 previous user, agent turns, could we assume that the stupid message max counter is 5?
