Happy 42nd birthday Levi Brown! Considered one of @PennStateFball greatest offensive tackles under Joe Paterno, he was the 5th pick overall by the @AZCardinals in 2007. Brown never lived up to expectations and selecting him over running back Adrian Peterson is regarded as one of the biggest draft mistakes the Cardinals ever made. (And they’ve made plenty: see Kyler Murray). He would go on to play just 81 @NFL games. Out of football by 2013 after one tormented season with the @steelers. He was just 29 🎂🔵⚪️

Michigan State — Ate a ton of money on disastrous Mel Tucker fiasco. No sorority would be safe with Urban Meyer & him in the same location. Izzo turns 71 soon. Spartan basketball on respirator. 4. Auburn — If you can’t beat him, hire him. Franklin never beat ranked teams but did knock off War Eagles back-to-back. They long to be competitive after Freeze fiasco. 5. FSU — Snapped their 9-game ACC losing streak Saturday. Still will be looking for new coach. Fertile recruiting ground. The glorious Paterno vs Bowden days rekindled with Hartline vs Franklin. 6. Maryland — Franklin was “coach-in-waiting” in College Park. Friedgen’ Orange Bowl year derailed plans. Unfortunately lead to Franklin ending up in Happy Valley. Knows the DMV well. Terps have two of their three career wins vs PSU in history (3-44-1) vs Franklin. Always wanted to be PSU’ rival.
