I’ve been making GPT 5.4 bring more of Pokemon to Discord. It’s much faster than me at making new content. Pretty much shotted entire Kalos and Alola regions 😆 Took me a while to make the regions before this years back, reviving the project using agents now. It’s really fun. I’ve put down Legends ZA recently thinking why not build a game instead of playing one lol

GPT‑5.3‑Codex is something else 🐐 The agents got a little carried away and we ended up with a memory leak. No problem, just hand them some homework and it's solved in 15 minutes 😎 Blown away. Once this is all in MCP, we won't even need a human in the loop

@okospojjcjj @Jay_Shah_C We need a wrapper for xctrace CLI that can cut out meaningless stuff, and perhaps some cheap model to find relevant traces and plug that back into Codex

@okospojjcjj @Jay_Shah_C Yeah I can see that happening, in my case I did the instrument work manually and just pasted in traces of leaked objects between snapshots and it fixed all of them (codex 5.3 high)

I used the instrument manually because I wanted to mark generations between two points of time (it was a leak in the UI renderer) A bit more research reveals there is xctrace CLI which can do what Instruments can. Not sure if they can debug the way I did like interacting with the app + instrument live by making snapshots, but worth looking into. If we made an agent skill for using all the profiling tools it could become a simple prompt to fix any performance/leak issues in native apps

@buildwithdjdev Are instruments agent friendly? Or cli equivalents were used?

@birch_js Yep that’s what I started with. It was a bit more involved, it broke some dependency from compiling. But fortunately didn’t even have to step in to fix it, codex just figured it out

@buildwithdjdev Think there’s an official set of Expo agent skills that might include help for that!

Implemented swarm mode into Codex. Codex has an MCP server that AI can use to control Codex. This also means you can have Codex spawn more Codex instances via the MCP. LET IT RIP
