Summer update! We've got an updated model on the backend, Agent deployment is back, and there's a new Top Up system for Paper Trading. With over 150,000 transactions processed by our AI Agents already, @FlowAgentApp has exceeded so many of our expectations. With all the new data Agents have been processing, we've also seen rapidly increasing API costs over the weeks - exceeding $10k/mo! This caused us to pause new Agent deployments for a period while we worked on reigning in costs. Knowing that we have much more capability we want to implement, we've been hard at work training a custom AI model specifically on defi trading. Our end goal is higher trading performance at greatly reduced cost, as well as the potential for licensing Flow's Agents and trade processing via API to other applications and blockchains. This is a huge endeavor, but one we know to be immensely valuable. In the meantime to help keep costs in control so we can continue building and delivering, we've implemented a Top Up system to defray the cost of Paper Trading processing. Every new Agent comes with a built-in Paper Trading balance so you can gauge its performance and personality before Live Trading, and if you need more data you can top it up for ~$10 to run for another 2 weeks. With the addition of the Top Up system we've now re-enabled new Agent deployment! Live Trading's API costs are already covered by the 1% transaction fee, so they don't require any top up to run. All Agents can be used for Live Trading regardless of whether they're actively paper trading. If you've deployed an Agent that's seeing Live Trading usage, be sure to keep at least 0.01 SOL in the deployer wallet so Solana can process your cut as well. Unlike Ethereum-based chains, Solana requires a small amount of SOL to be kept in the wallet to allow program transactions to be run against it. We firmly believe autonomous trading will be one of the largest transactors of onchain finance, and bringing personalized trading to everyone is at the heart of what we're creating. A number of you have reached out about partnerships, investing, development assistance, and even donations. The excitement is palpable, and we're responding as we have bandwidth. Our priorities remain building the best product first, and ensuring the long-term future of Flow by extension. With the increase in API and model training costs, we've been more seriously considering partnering for investment on an equity basis so that we can continue delivering best-in-class autonomous trading and investing deeply in the future of our Agent tooling. Re. @FlowAgentApp based on TG discussions This is my interpretation of overall sentiment and some key info. The team is still doing buybacks etc (these are manual txes) we see on chain (latest May 2) They just secured new subdomains (April 25) (link to X post re. Activity detected in reply) The website certificates and DNS info are being renewed/updated (latest April 17) Reason current dapp may glitch is likely cause team is rewriting completely new logic to reduce compute costs (as they had said) Main focus of the team has been profitable perp trading, which is likely taking some time. Generally, looks like the team is just building in silence, which is something they communicated over n over that they’d do. They made it a point not to posting anything unless they had substantial updates. So majority of the current holders remain bullish, as it appears, cause we all know that: The Spice Must $Flow
