@mlbtraderumors I'm sure plenty are gonna read into this as much more than it is. This is just putting out a feeler for if/when Mets decide to be sellers. There's no way they're moving Peralta anytime soon.
English

@James_Schiano But he pitched a no hitter in the Atlantic League I mean that's gotta count for nothing doesn't it? Of course if you have Terry Collins on TV saying Mets should bring back Wilmer cause he's crushing it in tye Mexican League, I'm sure some supposed experts think Bauer is worthy
English

@ronniietorrt @WexlerRules @SyracuseMets Devin Williams is no longer a top closer in the league and doubt he ever will be again and Weaver isn't exactly a top setup guy either. This pen has a lot more issues than just those 2
English

@capnsammy @WexlerRules @SyracuseMets They need to get rid of both Kimbrel and Manaea. They’re the two arms holding the pen back from being legitimately good
English

.@SyracuseMets LHRP Anderson Severino has been legitimately impressive so far this season #Mets

English

@WexlerRules @SyracuseMets Agreed, not saying it'll work, but there's an obvious need that his skill set would fit perfectly and he's earned that shot
English

@capnsammy @SyracuseMets I agree and as the graph shows... not smoke and mirrors. Not saying he's a guarantee to be good (far from it) but he deserves a look.
English

@MetCastPod Because Myers and Manaea basically forced Mendoza to use his top relievers last night. That was really a spot for Railey, but Railey likely wasn't available today, or Mendoza at the very least wanted to stay away from him
English

The real question is why is he coming in in a tir game? He couldn’t make the roster just a couple weeks ago.
MetsMuse@MetsMuse
Time for Craig Kimbrell to go.
English

@SNYtv He swung, but really doesn't make much of a difference. Mets basically punted this game

Terry and @NikiLattarulo answer your questions on Mets Mailbag
English

@Mets I know they've already won this series and I know they're facing a lefty, but come on Slater, Ibanez, Taylor, & Brujan all starting?
English

@mikemayer22 Have to believe he's called up soon if/when they need an arm, especially with the Minter setback
English

Mets minors notable performances:
Triple-A
Jack Wenninger 6 IP, 0 R, 5 K
A.J. Ewing 0-for-3, BB
Ryan Clifford 2-for-4, HR
Anderson Severino 1 IP, 0 R, 1 K, SV
Double-A
Chris Suero 1-for-4, HR
Jose Ramos 2-for-4, HR
TT Bowens 2-for-3, BB
Douglas Orellana 2 IP, 0 R, 1 K
High-A
Vincent Perozo 1-for-4, HR
John Bay 1-for-3, BB, 2 RBI
Low-A
Elian Peña 1-for-5, SB
Randy Guzman 1-for-2, HR, 2 RBI, 2 BB
Branny De Oleo 2-for-3, RBI, BB, SB
Conner Ware 4 IP, 1 ER, 5 K
English

@Mets @moomoo Who cares if it' not pretty? A W is a W, you don't get style points. Now do something you haven't done all season and get that sweep tomorrow. #LGM
Oh and how bout them Knicks? #GONYGONYGO #LGK
English

@GiraffeNeckMarc Yup and really Mets don't need a BP full of longmen. If they do either of the above should consider calling up Anderson Severino, has a perfect ERA in AAA over his first 13.2 IP & 4 for 4 in save opportunities. Also an LHP which helps when Railey isn't available
English

@SNY_Mets Not the prettiest of starts, but you take 5 scoreless any day
English

@James_Schiano (2/2)
Stearns basically forces himself to go big $ on short term deals and gambles on older guys with injury histories or may be past their prime to at least be insurance until or unless guys like Baty, Vientos, Mauricio, Benge, Ewing, Clifford, etc. prove they're ready
English

@James_Schiano At the end of the day this really comes down to a player development issue. They don't want to give the top FA vets big $/long term deals (with a few exceptions) and because outside of maybe Alvarez. no position player has come up and proven they're an every day guy (1/2)
English

fighting every urge to welcome back Jed Lowrie

Carlos Mendoza gives updates on the latest with Jorge Polanco and when asked if he's nearing to go on a rehab assignment, Mendoza said "I don't think so"
English

@ernestdove Yeah I was watching someone do a Mets minors review and they mentioned his control issues when talking about him, but looking at his game logs it isn't that bad really. That 1 start is definitely an outlier. Nice to see him go 6 for the first time too
English

@capnsammy He usually has solid command. That one game definitely messes with his rate.

English

@SNYtv If he wasn't ready restarting his rehab clock isn't really the worst thing. Not sure who he replaces right now anyway, maybe Warren, but Warren can give you length where Minter is a 1 inning guy
English

@MetCastPod That's not what that means. It means his clock as far as when he has to be taken off rehab assignment is now reset. He probably wasn't ready for the MLB grind of a BP guy yet, so they set him back so they don't have to make a decision on him when they know he's not fully ready
English

Not major just a 30 day reset? How is that jot major
Anthony DiComo@AnthonyDiComo
News: the Mets pulled A.J. Minter off his rehab assignment due to left hip discomfort. Not a major setback, but Minter's return is no longer imminent. He'll get a fresh 30-day rehab clock once he's ready to pitch again.
English

@AHSodergren @ernestdove Agreed, but Ibanez is more if a backup IF than OF really and the team is very thin in the infield w/Lindor, Polanco, & Mauricio all on the IL
English

@capnsammy @ernestdove I think I prefer Slater over Ibanez but both can go really.
