The Christian said: "Anytime my dad bullied my mum everybody will be sent out and no one will give us shelter but the Mosque" . Me and my mum slept in the Mosque several times till day break. Yoruba oba in Kwara face a lot of problems from the so called emir and kwara state government. Many towns in Kwara are Yoruba-speaking communities with their own Obas (kings), but because they fall under the Ilorin Emirate administrative structure, they do not have equal standing with the Emir and face issues such as lack of payment of allowances, recognition, grading/classification disputes and limited autonomy.
