@PatBartMusic Was recently having this discussion with a friend and she said she misses hearing voices and count-ins on jazz records, cuz without them sometimes it loses that human element

I wish I was alive for the era of people making mistakes on record and KEEPING them, mainly because they couldn't afford to re-record because of the technology, or because they didn't think it was a "mistake" how we see mistakes nowadays... Jazz doesn't always feel human, today.

Do people PLAY too clean nowadays? If high fidelity doesn't mess with the music to you, then what about the actual PLAYING of the player? This is something that I feel sometimes, and it prevents me from listening to a lot of jazz musicians...
