@SolaceCinema @TheInSneider Considering the value he will bring to the film that’s a solid deal. His movies always make money - pair him with Kosinski and the material it could make a fortune.

@TheScottAdkins I loved this fight too but he was really beating the shit out of those guys before a big mission. Not the best tactic.

One of my all time favourite Chuck Norris moments from Delta Force 2. “When Chuck Norris took a bath, he didn’t get wet, the water got Chuck!”

@Lulamaybelle A horrifying read that should be required reading for anyone who ever works in a position of authority on a set.

Nia DaCosta really nailed what could have been a thankless gig. The Bone Temple is a huge improvement over the uneven 28 Years Later. It’s more conventional but better, without any of the dumb bits that marred the last one. The last half hour is a classic.

The Santa in The Silent Partner played by Christopher Plummer is 1000x scarier than any of the Silent Night, Deadly Night ones. joblo.com/the-silent-par…

Really didn’t care for Anaconda. It’s meta but the jokes fall FLAT. You think that many talented people at least some of the jokes would land but alas.

#TheHousemaid is fun, trashy, gaslit Hallmark porn and I mean that in the best way. A great, sexy cast offers plenty of eye candy, while dropping Fatal Attraction, The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, and Gone Girl into a blender with a few scoops of humor for good measure. Way more fun than I expected and the audience ate it up. Could be a good little winter sleeper and certainly not the worst date movie to get dragged to. There’s something for everyone.

@pattonoswalt Yes, children still love them but teens are burnt out on stuff like Marvel/ DC/ Star Wars which is stuff their parents liked. There needs to be a more diverse slate of tentpoles. We need more original fare like Sinners to bring back the teen audience which is important.

So let me ask - everyone was (rightly) furious when comedians played the Riyadh Comedy Festival yet no one seems to care pretty much every major Hollywood star was at the Red Sea Festival in Saudi Arabia last week. What gives?

Warner Bros. has the greatest restoration & preservation ops in Hollywood. At any time they are remastering DOZENS of films & cartoons with groundbreaking proprietary tech. Many of these are released MONTHLY thru the Warner Archive. I will feel SICK if anything happens to them.

@arcticninjapaul Another reason Netflix bought WB is for the AI potential. Gives them a huge sandbox they could allow users to play in. People will use AI to play with Harry Potter, LOTR, DC. They also have a HUGE library of classic film - the biggest in the world. Plus the gaming division…

The death of Hollywood as we know it has arrived. We’ll be getting the majority of our entertainment from two companies (Disney and Netflix) focused on franchise IP, reboots, and sequels. Mid-budget films and risky ventures are about to become all but extinct. The streaming wars are over. Now begins the Consolidation Era.

@arcticninjapaul It won’t the the last consolidation. It’s all about IP now. Young people don’t care about movies, and IF they do watch something, it’s something old.

Ella McKay is brutal. Hard to believe it comes from the same man who made Terms of Endearment and Broadcast News. It just feels like Brooks doesn’t have a handle on making a contemporary movie, even setting it in 2008 can’t help it from feeling like an antique.
