Long may the “no cell phones” rule be a thing at Augusta! It’s so refreshing and people are so much more engaged. Need to call someone? You get free landline calls on the course with old fashioned phones. Really adds to the character of the event, as does the cheap food prices 👌🏼💪🏼
Whoever at @LA28 came up with the “Los Angeles resident” lottery for Olympics tickets is an evil genius… They have created the impression they’re giving locals a break when we’re actually caught in a “once in a lifetime” race we feel we must win, causing us to pay INSANE prices for crappy seats/events, so later they can continue to charge crazy prices to the rest of the world, safe in the knowledge that an artificial scarcity has been created on the backs of the people they duped into thinking were getting a “special privilege.” And yes, our family has already spent over $3,000 for two mid-range track events, with lousy seats, at a venue that will be nearly impossible to get to (assuming I’m even still alive in July of 2028)! 🤦♂️🤮
