Jodie Marsh has pleaded not guilty to common assault after allegedly putting her hands around her neighbour’s neck during a furious row at her Essex animal sanctuary. The 47-year-old former glamour model and bodybuilder runs Fripps Farm in Brentwood, home to more than 250 rescued animals. The alleged incident happened on 16 January when she claims her neighbour had been trespassing, filming the animals and editing footage to make them appear skeletal. She told police she “lost it” after months of alleged harassment and insists she caused no physical harm. Marsh also faces a charge of using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour.
