bc book Viserys didn't want Alicent's blood on the throne, neither he nor Rhaenyra thought/wanted to join them in marriage and show Viserys did see the marriage as a good idea but Ryan decided that a queen consort has more decision-making power than the king

I never understood why Viserys Targaryen didn’t accept Rhaenyra Targaryen’s proposal to marry Helaena Targaryen and Jacaerys Velaryon Like wouldn’t that have united both sides, shut down the rumors and avoided the whole Dance? Because the more I think about it, the less his decision makes sense

99.99% of her writing and it's LITERALLY just saying 'she was a quite, simple girl'. The problem everyone has with you all is that you fight for head canons as facts, while also STEALING actual canon from other characters to give to your head canons.

Please, if Daemon had pulled half of what Alicent did, Rhaenyra and Viserys would have had his head and he would be seen as a villain. People whine that Rhaenyra "wants it both ways" but it's in fact the women who UPHOLD the system of double standards that reap the benefits.
