@CyberRobooo A single robot that can switch between teacher, companion, or assistant sounds great. Yet how well can it truly understand and support people?

Building real robots takes patience. What looks effortless today is the result of years of testing, failures, and steady progress. Agility’s @agilityrobotics journey shows that robotics innovation is thousands of small steps that slowly turn ambitious ideas into machines that can actually work in the real world.

Self-Driving Cars Aren’t Failing, Humans Just Don’t Understand Progress Every few months, a headline appears declaring that self-driving cars are failing. A robotaxi pauses in traffic, a pilot program gets delayed, or a company pulls back from a city. The narrative quickly becomes: autonomy isn’t working. But that view misunderstands how technological progress actually happens. Building autonomous driving systems is one of the hardest engineering challenges ever attempted. A human driver learns from years of experience and intuition, but a self-driving system has to interpret the world through sensors, cameras, and software, while making safe decisions in milliseconds. Progress here isn’t supposed to look smooth, it looks messy, iterative, and sometimes frustrating. What often gets ignored is how much progress has already happened. In cities like San Francisco, Phoenix, and parts of China, robotaxis are already operating daily, completing thousands of rides without a human driver. These systems still struggle with edge cases, such as construction zones, unusual traffic behavior, unpredictable pedestrians, but every mile driven improves the models and the systems behind them. Humans also judge autonomous vehicles differently than human drivers. A human mistake is seen as unfortunate but normal. When an autonomous vehicle hesitates or makes a small error, it becomes proof that the entire technology is broken. That double standard hides the reality that human driving causes over a million road deaths globally every year. Autonomy is not failing. It’s progressing the same way aviation, the internet, and smartphones once did, slowly at first, then all at once. The real issue isn’t that the technology isn’t advancing. It’s that people expect breakthroughs to look like instant perfection, when in reality they look like gradual learning.

Robot traffic police have been spotted on duty on the streets of Shanghai, helping manage traffic and assist pedestrians at busy intersections. The robotic units are designed to guide vehicles, signal pedestrians, and support traffic monitoring using sensors and AI-powered systems. Their presence is part of China’s growing effort to test robotics and automation in real-world urban environments.

NVIDIA and Texas Instruments Join Forces for Humanoid Robots Texas Instruments and NVIDIA (@nvidia) have announced a new collaboration to accelerate the development of humanoid robots powered by what they call “physical AI.” The partnership combines Texas Instruments’ sensing, radar, motor control, and power management technologies with NVIDIA’s advanced robotics computing platforms. The goal is to help robots better understand their surroundings and move more safely and accurately in real-world environments. By merging camera data with radar sensing, the system can improve object detection and navigation, even in challenging conditions like fog, dust, glare, or low light. This could allow humanoid robots to operate more reliably in places like hospitals, offices, factories, and retail spaces.

Sometimes the internet finds its most interesting moments in the simplest conversations. That happened recently when Nigerian singer Tems shared her admiration for legendary vocalist Celine Dion, only for football star Bukayo Saka to admit that he didn’t know the music icon.

@Wizarab10 Absolutely tragic 💔 The family has sadly accepted Abba may not make it despite paying ₦10 million. This raises serious questions about our security and the protection of NYSC members. No one should face this kind of helplessness.

The hype around humanoid robots keeps getting bigger, and the Unitree H2 is a perfect example. Bigger, stronger, and built for more demanding tasks, it shows how quickly robotic hardware is evolving. Events like the 2026 Mech Fighting Championship are a glimpse into how powerful and capable the next generation of robots might become.
RoboHub🤖@XRoboHub

Time to keep an eye on the Unitree H2 and see if it can pull off the same magic as the G1. 🤖🥊 Standing at 1.82 meters, this big guy is way beefier and more powerful than its smaller sibling. I am seriously hyped for the 2026 Mech Fighting Championship because it is going to be an absolute beast of a showcase for robotic power.
