@M31Movement The idea that the 31st of March will be anything other than a typical day is wishful thinking.

While detractors @daddyhope spread lies, Zanu-PF is working for the people under the leadership of @edmnangagwa . The NDS1 (2021-2025) has created jobs through infrastructure projects. Under @edmnangagwa's leadership, lives are being transformed for the better. @HeraldZimbabwe

Zimbabweans must reject the reckless calls for mass protests by political has-beens like Blessed Geza. His attempt to incite an unlawful uprising on 31 March is not activism - it's treason. No one has the right to destabilise the nation to revive their dead political career.

Just to say, in line with what Commander Geza said protests may start anytime, so be prepared to join others if you feel scandalised by extreme corruption that we are subjected to by this regime. Due to onset of dementia, ED is losing the plot & it will get worse if we do nothing

Patson Mukuze as an CIO officer, you must not be used to intimidate people as you are doing in Chikomba West. You know people have a right to demonstrate peacefully as provided in our constitution. Surely you can't live a life of threatening people & be content with it.

A VITAL ALERT FOR GEZA AND HIS SUPPORTERS. ZANU-PF remains resolute: The misguided call for demonstrations on March 31st is destined to fail. Zimbabweans choose peace, unity, and progress over chaos. Ignore this provocation; our nation’s stability is non-negotiable.

ZANU-PF Central Committee Endorses President Mnangagwa for Continued Leadership beyond 2030 This afternoon, a significant event unfolded within the corridors of power in Zimbabwe as the ZANU-PF Central Committee convened to discuss the future of the nation. In a show of unwavering support, the committee comprising representatives from all 10 provinces unanimously urged His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa to continue leading the country until 2030. This endorsement underscores a collective belief that under his stewardship, Zimbabwe is poised for stability and growth. The ZANU-PF Central Committee, the principal organ of the Party's Congress, consists of 230 members dedicated to implementing Party policies and driving national progress. Their unanimous decision today reflects a strong consensus on the direction the party and the nation should take in the coming years. The message from the committee was clear the nation is in safe, steady hands, and President Mnangagwa’s leadership is crucial for the realization of Zimbabwe’s aspirations. President Mnangagwa, who has been at the helm since 2017, has focused on a vision for a prosperous Zimbabwe, emphasizing economic recovery, infrastructure development, and social cohesion. His Administration has navigated numerous challenges, including economic reforms and the impacts of global events, and has made strides towards stabilizing the economy and attracting foreign investment. The endorsement from the Central Committee is not merely a political maneuver; it is a reflection of the confidence that party members have in President Mnangagwa’s ability to lead Zimbabwe through the complexities of the modern world. As the nation looks towards the future, the commitment to the 2030 Agenda a framework aimed at achieving sustainable development remains a priority for the government. The ZANU-PF party, with its deep roots in Zimbabwe’s history, continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s political landscape. As Zimbabwe moves forward, the call for unity and collective effort resonates strongly. The Central Committee’s resolution is a reminder that the path to progress requires collaboration and commitment from all sectors of society. Under President Mnangagwa’s leadership, the hope is that Zimbabwe will not only overcome its current challenges but will also thrive as a beacon of stability and growth in the region. The unanimous decision by the ZANU-PF Central Committee to endorse President Mnangagwa for continued leadership beyond 2030 is a significant milestone in Zimbabwe’s political journey. It reflects a shared vision for the future and a commitment to ensuring that the nation remains on a path of progress and development. As the country looks ahead, the leadership of President Mnangagwa is seen as a cornerstone for achieving the ambitious goals set forth in the 2030 Agenda. #2030NdeyaEmmerson #TermExtension4ED

This is just unacceptable folks… How do you wish to be a leader when your level of thinking is like this??? Anyone clamouring to take over from ED should demonstrate that they have a working brain, insults can’t be the yardstick for competence. I DIDN’T watch Geza’s speech, & I will NEVER watch his speeches… But if his message is all about insults & dishing accusations, then he & whatever group he represents should NEVER be anywhere near power. As I said before, Geza was given political oxygen by the 2030ists, I am totally against that 2030 idea… it is so unpopular that whoever opposes it gains political mileage… @advocatemahere is harassing Minister @TateMavetera, this shouldn’t be allowed to be the norm…. An example should be set against this blatant abuse of social media..:.?

#SanyatweRemovalARiskyEscalation #MnangagwaTakesAPanickyGamble President Emmerson Mnangagwa's panicky decision to remove Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) commander Lieutenant-General Anselem Sanyatwe ahead of the looming March 31 anti-government protests and reassign him as Minister of Sport, Recreation, Arts, and Culture has fuelled dangerous escalation within the ruling party and military amid growing tensions over the succession battle now intensifying uncontrollably. This has left Mnangagwa and Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga's political brinkmanship over the ruling Zanu PF's leadership succession delicately balanced - a political powder keg. The escalation follows other tactical moves by war veterans and Zanu PF spokesperson Chris Mutsvangwa which have brought matters to a head, keeping Mnangagwa and Chiwenga on a precarious collision course. The war veterans, who are a key auxiliary component of the army and the ruling Zanu PF power matrix, say Mnangagwa must go - now - as he has dismally failed and destroyed the country through nepotism, corruption and incompetence. They accuse the President of predatory cronyism and grand looting by his political and business clique, including relatives, friends and associates. This has led to the planned March 31 protests which everyone is talking about amid nationwide anxiety and fears of a bloody confrontation ahead. In a bid to reassert his faltering grip on the army - Zimbabwe's political power brokers - Mnangagwa, as the Zimbabwe Defence Forces Commander-in-Chief, took a daring yet dangerous move to remove Sanyatwe who is Chiwenga's key ally. Sanyatwe's removal is seen as a strategic manoeuvre - better still a gamble - to retake control of the army and concomitantly weaken Chiwenga's influence within the military, as the two are known to be close allies. Sanyatwe, former Presidential Guard commander who played a crucial role in ensuring Mnangagwa's ascendancy in 2017, is close to Chiwenga. He was his munyai (messenger) when he married and divorced former wife Marry Mubaiwa. Mnangagwa's risky action amid heightened fears of a military confrontation with 2017 echoes and rising tensions between rival factions within Zanu PF ahead of planned nationwide protests on March 31. The explosive situation is further complicated by the fact that Sanyatwe is a key figure in the military and has been instrumental in maintaining order and stability in the country. His removal may create a power vacuum that could be badly exploited by rival factions or even external forces. Moreover, Sanyatwe's removal has been met with huge public scepticism, with some viewing it as a demotion rather than a promotion . This perception could further exacerbate tensions within the military and the ruling party. So Sanyatwe's firing has serious and significant implications for the stability and security of Zimbabwe. He was instrumental in the November 2017 coup and the ousting of the late former president Robert Mugabe as Presidential Guard commander. After that his career was blotted by the August 1, 2018 killings. He was accused of giving orders which resulted in seven deaths ans 35 serious injuries in the 2018 post-election violence. In 2018, Zimbabwe held its first election in the post Mugabe era, and many hoped the polls would mark the beginning of a new chapter in Zimbabwe’s history. But the rigged elections proved nothing had changed under Mnangagwa. Sanyatwe was appointed ambassador to Tanzania on 18 February 2019, as Mnangagwa purged the army commanders and security service chiefs who helped him to gain power. This Chiwenga had fallen ill and was in and out of hospital before going to India, South Africa and China for medical treatment. While Chiwenga survived, a number of military commanders from various causes, including mysterious ones. This has raised alarm among war veterans and the military. After almost finishing his tour of duty to Tanzania, Sanyatwe bounced back with the support of Chiwenga. He was appointed ZNA commander on 20 October 2023 and served in that position until yesterday, 25 March 2025. His appointment followed the retirement of Lieutenant-General David Sigauke who was appointment on 6 August 2021 to replace the late Lieutenant-General Edzai Chimonyo. Sigauke is now ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo. In July 2019, Sanyatwe and his wife Chido were placed on a sanctions list by the United States for his alleged involvement in the August 1 Killings. In a statement, the US said Sanyatwe placed on sanctions “due to his involvement in gross violation of human rights.” It remains to be seen how this political development will play out, but one thing is certain – the situation bears close watching and will get worse before it gets better - it will escalate the confrontation and lead to a volatile clash before denouement - resolution which may result in Mnangagwa's consolidation or removal from power.
