Watching Dems belittle Sen. Mullin for having a plumbing business and no college degree is what’s wrong with politics. Better to focus on his getting uber rich while in office or trying to fight on the Senate floor—not his profession or education. Dems need to drop the elitism.

@jacobrosecrants A much bigger problem in our state is belittling expertise and education. I recently went to a meeting at my son’s middle school to learn about the new state mandate to focus on vocational training. In middle school - that’s appalling!

Noticing the same. As a person who was a bad student (till I wasn’t), but who has never excelled academically…couldn’t agree more. I understand just how important a college degree is, but I also fully understand & respect folks who go a different route. No more elitism!

@jacobrosecrants That is a minor footnote in the criticism that I’m seeing. And going to college is important in and of itself for one’s ability to deal with the real, big world out there. A significant part of what he lacks in qualification are the things that going to college CAN address.
