The solution to March Madness isn’t expansion it is REDUCTION. We need to get rid of automatic qualifiers, ESPECIALLY with NIL. There is NO CHANCE that Long Island and Prairie View make deeper runs than Auburn or Oklahoma would.

@Aaron_Torres Settle down Aaron. It was a couple of games. Miami and high point won’t even get to the sweet 16. If we are being honest, in any given year only half a dozen teams really have a chance to win and it ain’t EVER a mid major. 🙄

High Point went 30-4, hasn't lost since mid-January - and wouldn't have sniffed an at large bid Miami (OH) went undefeated in the regular season, finished 31-1 and ended up in Dayton We REALLY need to re-evaluate how we go about selecting at-large teams for the NCAA Tournament

Tindr but for guys (and in some cases, gals) who just want to sit at the bar and talk about what their GM should have done in free agency/the draft.

@Eddie_Rado The right thing to do is send those criminals in Tuscaloosa home and let team 69 have their slot as a 4 seed.

@arkrazorbackx They also do hedge some when it’s not their 5. Acuff may go off — he can do that to anyone in any defensive scheme. But I think maybe your idea of their defense is different from what it actually is functionally.

@arkrazorbackx Drop or flat literally places the screener’s man into drive “help”. That’s one of the basic reasons for it. If you chase well on the primary you take away 3 & depending on personnel, tag on the back for roll help or stick if on a shooter & rely on big’s length to contain/recover.

Hawaii plays “no switch defense” What does this mean? They don’t allow many assists. But, a Hawaii basketball player is going to have to guard Darius Acuff 1v1 with ZERO HELP😅 They also drop coverage on every screen. It’s been their bread and butter in conference play. If Hawaii does either of those things vs Darius Acuff, he legitimately might have 50 points again on Thursday. I can’t wait.

@Eddie_Rado Anyone who blames NIL and resources needs to explain how Skip can field a postseason team each year across the street with the same limitations.

At Oklahoma, we’ve had a long history of embodying an underdog spirit. And in men’s basketball, that mentality has often led to us outperforming our resources. It’s on Coach Moser to make sure that our team’s performance continues to meet and exceed our resources for the program. He’s done that and I’m confident he will continue to. But an underdog spirit will only take us so far. It’s my job to ensure that our resources match our expectations. We haven’t held up our end of that bargain. From NIL to staffing and beyond, we’re going to fix that. On top of how we resource our program, it’s critical our fans show out for our team. I’ve seen firsthand the difference community support of college basketball can make. A bigger and louder crowd, a true home-court advantage, and a zealous fan base are all essential to our success. Oklahoma Men’s Basketball is a proud program. We’re going to restore that pride, together. Boomer Sooner.

@Chicago_NFL I will say this: Neville Gallimore is 307 pounds. Is it possible they have him get lower? Sure. But maybe DA is switching it up a bit, so we’ll have to see

Some Chicago Bears draft notes: 1. Dennis Allen usually doesn’t run a NT. He typically likes smaller DT’s (under 300 lbs) who have upfield disruption. 2. He likes larger DEs (over 255) who can set a stout edge in the run game then show rush traits. (Why he pursued Crosby over Hendrickson) 3. He wants versatile safeties. Both starting S should be just as fluent in the box and in deep coverage. Disguise here is DA’s strength. 4. In CBs he likes man coverage a lot, and wants CBs who excel in pressing WRs. Defensively, they need to add a player at S, DE, and DT. In the draft. When doing mock drafts, look for players with these traits.

@PrinceRomance_ @TravisHines21 The criteria should be that a division 1 basketball team with a 31-0 record in the regular season should make the NCAA tournament and Excel spreadsheet nerds should shit in their hand.

@cmds00ner @TravisHines21 But hey you came to play so I’ll play ball - do you think college sports committees should have wildly different criteria for determining who should play in post-season? And that should all depend on the sport? So in football we should ignore who loses but not in basketball?

My thing with Miami (OH) is that dozens upon dozens of teams play crummy schedules every year. None of them win 31 games in a row. They are obviously good and worthy of a bid, and I don’t really think there’s a credible argument to the contrary.

@PrinceRomance_ @OG_Moji69 @TravisHines21 I’m not the one that brought up the elite 8 or final 4 but you wanted examples. Acting like mid-major programs can’t win games in the NCAA tournament is idiotic.

@cmds00ner @OG_Moji69 @TravisHines21 I don’t disagree with the passion you have amigo, but the logic is just simply not there. Re-read your own tweet. Do you realize you just admitted that 2/256 of teams fit your narrative over past 4 years
