For my wedding, i put the incorrect postage on 300 invitations and my dad was at the post office for an hour putting the rest of the postage on each invite for me. He had very gnarled hands so this was a big deal for him, and I just miss him so so much.

We sent this message to family ahead of our son's first birthday party and it was well received if any of you are extremely particular In the same way I am

@lilydsmith Mine didn't. Actually they gave parents lists of all the supplies they wanted us to have. Then we never used a majority of them.

We perceive DV deaths as a result of long term overt violence You need to know DV doesn’t always have visible injuries and might not happen regularly. Even if “it only happened once” Or you didn’t have bruises You are still in danger if it happened EVER or you intuit it could.

Lastly, this is 0% comment on HIS intentions or their history. But of all the dangers in DV, strangulation/suffocation EVER, even once, is one of the strongest predictors of future death. In these cases, it is common for her to die *the first or second time* he touches her

We often don’t realize how LITTLE the abusers *intentions* matter We believe we aren’t in danger because “he wouldn’t INTENTIONALLY kill me” With suffocation men often DON’T intend to kill the victim. In fact the suffocation event may be the first time he physically harms her

She appeared emotional and distressed while her fiance calmly labeled her “crazy” and the aggressor. Weeks later he strangled her to death, proving he was the true danger all along.

@galacticcbobaa @heyyitsjanea I have exactly 0 knowledge of their age by a screenshot of a dog and I’m not going to attempt to zoom or scroll their profiles. Either she’s a minor and they have authority, or she’s not and it doesn’t matter

There are different types of abusers. Some DO want you dead, do plan to kill you, that is their intention. But again **HISTORY AND INTENTIONS DONT MATTER** when you’re dead. If he has EVER “lost it”, “snapped” or you suspect he could, it doesn’t matter. Your life is in danger.

Our relationship ended shortly after. I realize now I was in immediate, life threatening danger living with a man whose threshold was a plastic cup. IT DOESN’T MATTER if he wanted me dead. IT DOESN’T MATTER if it happened before/again. I would have been 100% dead.

He didn’t want me dead. He wouldn’t have planned my death. He wasn’t a sociopath or a psychopath. I actually believe he really loved me. But his thresholds was a flying plastic cup. And because he never “lost his temper” before or again, I didn’t comprehend the danger I was in.
