Had pretty much given up on the idea that I would be a dad, after our foster kid went home we planned out a last try at fertility stuff but before the appointments this happened. On the one year anniversary of my mom passing, and a day before Father’s Day, I’m just so grateful.

Guy behind me on the plane spent about 2 hours talking about the ins and outs of “goat packing” which is apparently hiking with goats carrying your stuff. His passion for it was both refreshing and intense, but he did convince me that the big horn sheep lobby is up to no good.

While soprano Lisette Oropressa was singing her 4th encore, "Sempre libera" an opera number that has a tenor part, opera student Liu Jianwei spontaneously joins her in song when he noticed there wasn't anyone else singing it (as this was a solo recital).
