Las Vegas is currently experiencing a golf problem. Several established courses have recently gone private. Many exclusive golf courses in Vegas are only available to those who have significant money to spend. Some of the older courses are struggling to stay in business with increased expenses including water and maintenance. Tourism is down a bit and some of the rates are ridiculous similar to many casino properties. Young players and others on fixed incomes will struggle to play and afford these prices. It’s the “haves” and “have nots” and it’s not getting better anytime soon.

A $10 billion "sports ecosystem" just entered the Las Vegas NBA arena race. Starr Vegas Development is pitching a 25,000-seat NBA arena that is also a 50,000-seat soccer/concert venue — connected to a new casino resort — all on 63 acres near the south end of the Strip.
