I put a senior who was a habitual skipper on a contract stating that she would get all A’s on her next report card in order to keep her senior activities for the year. The parent didn’t want to sign the contract. Yall are the problem.

The best option is ALL schools have to get it together and be FAIR with its rules. District workers who are not in the building need to support admin.

@bizarrecustoms @TattedShinobi @theygotmegirl I want to talk about the adults: if parents have to do better with communicating the needs of their children, so be it. If teachers have to stand on business with their evidence, so be it. If admin have to reinforce policy and take that extra time with parents' grief, so be it.

@bizarrecustoms @TattedShinobi @theygotmegirl I am a teacher for real. I have had many situations you are talking about; when I say allowed, I mean by the school culture. I had to be a "donkey" when I was reprimanded, I did not care because the reprimanded did come from a place of building me up.

@bizarrecustoms @TattedShinobi @theygotmegirl It is foolishness allowed by adults. My school isn't like that; if you don't do what you are supposed to do, you will not be rewarded. Nobody has time to prepare you to fail in the real world.

The teacher will lose every time. I went to war at the end of last year and was basically told that I have to give the student the chance to make up the assignment. Mind you I had students skipping four out of five days in a week. I called, notified Admin, followed all steps. Absolutely crazy how Education has changed lol.

My teaching has evolved into a kind approach because I will not add to the demons these kids got. The fact that I am not a boring teacher helps.

The amount of kids running to our school’s mental health counselors every period trying to escape their demons at home is alarming.

Keep having those great attributes, the right one is out there and will reveal itself. In addition, we have to take responsibility for our dating patterns and make solid friendships before or during the relationship. There is someone for the job.

I feel like it’s so crazy that so many of the people who have standards, self-respect, and self-esteem, don’t have a spouse.
