Iowa State has never lost a game with Kipp Kissinger officiating Truly unclear why the NCAA consistently assigns the Iowa-raised kid to officiate his hometown team

@DamianPMason @gavin_spoor 3)Those operations are trading multiple machines 4) Dealers are stuck having to make those trades to hit market share goals and 5) Dealers are stuck with used machines in low demand

@DamianPMason @gavin_spoor Agree on all your points Damian - I do feel there is possibly another layer to this but it’s complex. 1)OEM’s are building machines for the sector of ag that can still afford them or can spread the cost over more acres 2)Those operations want new machines (warranty, flex appeal)

You could make a few cases: A. We are over equipped. B. A sustained down farm economy will demonstrate true equipment need vs want. C. Machinery sales for depreciation/ tax reasons moved a lot of steel during good times. @gavin_spoor good analysis
Gavin Spoor@gavin_spoor

There are almost 1,700 S780’s for sale online. The difference between dealer and auction price is over $150,000 There’s enough s780s for sale to combine almost seven million acres (4,000 acres/machine) That’s just one model from one brand. I can’t help but think we’re far from seeing the bottom in equipment values. Look out below.

This is insane. Landmand Golf Club in Homer, Nebraska put all their tee times for the year on sale today. Prepay required. They sold every single one almost instantly. Like battling for Taylor Swift tickets, people were queued and ready, but couldn’t even get a sniff. The Farmer took a giant risk when he built Landmand with King Collins. A remote destination and at the time a relatively untested architect team. To say it’s been a grand slam is an understatement. Absolutely one of the great success stories in the golf courses business. Amazing what passion can do.

With Matt Campbell off to Penn State, Rams pass-game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase figures to be a prime candidate for the Iowa State opening. Scheelhaase coached under Campbell from 2018-23, and is highly regarded in both college and pro football.

Just had a farmer friend text me he would give Matt Campbell “free beef for life” to keep him at Iowa State. I’m gonna hold him to it.

Starting Monday, November 3rd, I will have about .5-1 acre of bentgrass greens sod available. First come first serve. Bring your own equipment, help to harvest and haul away. Needs to be gone ASAP. Contact me if you have any questions! @GcsaIowa @Iaturfinstitute

🚨Breaking from Bethpage 🚨 This is from an insider who was on premise all week at Bethpage. 100% verified. This person wants it known that it wasn’t just pairings and setup. Team USA simply didn’t prepare! Why did Team USA start off seemingly lost? Why couldn’t they read a green for two days? How was Europe so ready? Is it so simple that Team USA barely played Bethpage Black, while Team Europe played it over and over? Imagine how much better they would know the course with 7-8 plays versus 1-2 plays for the Americans. This is hugely embarrassing. We have all been focused on the setup and pairings, rightly. But if this is accurate, Team USA simply didn’t play the course they were playing for the Cup enough! This person gave permission for me to release this info. He/She wants it known how unserious the USA team took this event. There is real anger that the USA Team presents that they are 100% invested, when in reality that’s not true. Or at least they didn’t prepare like it’s a major. If this is true, I’m pissed and all team USA fans should be pissed.

A @CycloneFB topic that we touched on during the @cyclonefanatic podcast tonight: Last year Iowa State averaged 73.5 plays per game (16th most in country.) In 2023, Iowa State averaged 60.8 plays per game (4th fewest in country). That’s a major ramp up and may have hurt defense.
