❌ The Budget should have supported the pub & beer trade, instead Government have thrown the industry into oblivion. ✍️ We have written to the Chancellor to ask her to reconsider her Budget which risks closing more pubs than it will help with the changes to business rates.

@CAMRA_Official @JonnyGarrett That's incorrect. A tapped cask of correctly-brewed beer which has had nothing drawn off it can last for weeks or even months, without deteriorating. It is once the contents start to be dispensed which signals the start of the deterioration, not the tapping.

@CAMRA_Official April 1st, 2025 is likely to prove a very dark day for many small retail businesses including pubs. The huge reduction in business rates relief for those businesses will be the straw that breaks many a camel's back.

🍺 Unless we see meaningful action from all governments across the UK, the future of our locals will forever remain at risk.

@garysagar1 @PeteBrownBeer @NatWest_Help Yes, but the mail service isn't secure but banks have been using it for decades. Also, some banks have disabled their secure messaging services (looking at you @santanderuk ) so you can only 'phone them or use their useless AI chatbots.
