I am bit disturbed by the stance from some here, that 'no country has a right to exist'. Where in hell does that reasoning come from? That is delegitimizing every single nation then. Is that a far-left approach to make such a statement just to find another illogical cause to take Israel apart? Iran is firing missiles that break apart mid-air and scatter smaller explosives across wide areas. These are indiscriminate weapons aimed at civilian zones. If Israel were doing this, the screaches of outrage would be deafening. But it doesn’t even make the news outside Israel.

If A10s and Apache can operate freely then we are much closer to clearing the strait than many are suggesting.

While specific details of what is in range and how much of that hasn't yet been reduced to scrap are firmly in the fog of war to civilians like us, make no mistake that Gen. Caine isn't going to send 2500 marines into a blender for nothing. They won't be making landfall on that island until any indirect fire threats on the mainland and in range are neutralized, if they have not been already. Then it's up to the Warthogs and Apaches to fly drone defense. The most experienced and competent military leaders on earth with the best Intel on earth are in the driver's seat. They taped all the windows because the building shakes constantly.
