I tracked 2,082 wallets that are active on both Polymarket and Hyperliquid. Then I pulled their entire DeFi footprint. Every protocol, every chain, every position. Here are some fun facts: > Prediction markets are a side bet. These wallets hold $477M in on-chain assets. Hyperliquid holds 16x more of their money than Polymarket does. Aave holds 4x more. Polymarket is where they express opinions. Hyperliquid is where they deploy capital. > They're net short $99M overall - mostly BTC and ETH - and they’re winning. The only thing they’re meaningfully long? $HYPE. Bears are eating. > They don’t just short — they hedge it.A third of the BTC/ETH shorts farm yield on Aave or Pendle while they wait. > They bet on elections on Polymarket, then fade every political token on Hyperliquid. TRUMP, MELANIA, WLFI - mostly or entirely shorted. They know the difference between real outcomes and trash memecoins. > One-third of them actively trade non-crypto assets — crude oil, silver, NVDA, TSLA, and even pre-IPO names like Anthropic and SpaceX. They don’t think in “crypto.” They think in real markets. > HyperEVM is already their third-largest chain. Nearly 300 wallets from this cohort are active there, ahead of Arbitrum by capital deployed. Smart money is actively farming the Hyperliquid ecosystem. > They're already in protocols most people haven't heard of. Ostium and Venice AI each have ~30 wallets from this group. Tiny protocols. But when Polymarket’s sharpest traders show up early, that’s usually where adoption starts. Smart money takes the wheel and shape the narratives themselves. One of the things I’m most proud of at Malda is this architecture. This is a significant rework the original hub and spoke model, and it is the pioneer of ZK-accounting where it no longer matters which chain you deposited from. It is inherently efficient by removing the constant back & forth bridging to achieve a unified lending layer over multiple chains. The core is leveraging mature zkEVM tech to maintain the state of the protocol. Our choice was @LineaBuild, a @Consensys built zkEVM that achieves EVM equivalence to remove development overheads from our dedicated Solidity team.
