After hours of watching videos I've found endless different ways to set up.
Some things I'll stick to for max security:
- Gotta set up a VPS ~$10/month (server uptime guarantees, not run on your local network)
- Must set up private VPN to access Openclaw (no one else can publicly reach it except whitelisted IPs).
- Use a private SSH to access remotely.
- Create new accounts for the Openclaw, only share what you want it to see (prevent prompt injections ie. malicious prompts)

Ok I'll bite, time to set up Openclaw with zero prior technical knowledge. Will share progress, stay tuned.

@irondevx @AmagasakiLA Big, didn’t think about credit efficiency haha. You ever thought about setting one up?

@0xLevente @AmagasakiLA My vote goes to Codex for (way) more generous usage limits. Base $20 plan on Claude gives you a day worth of work max lol

I found a tailscale-named platform which you can pair with a VPN connection (?) to create a direct private connection between your VPS and Openclaw.
Debating whether I need that much security though. If I want to see the typical Openclaw UI or launch an app I need to port everything through that + need to have tailscale on all devices I want to be able to contact the agent with.

@0xLevente VPS is the right call for most people - no single point of failure at home and you can lock it down properly. what's your sandbox setup?

@AmagasakiLA I'm deciding between Codex and Opus. I hear that Codex is more comprehensive for code but Opus is more general purpose.
Currently leaning towards Opus for the personal assistant setup.

@0xLevente Oh nice .

@cryptolandHusky How much prior design skills would you say you need to design nice layouts?
