40%+ liquidity growth this past week in preparation of @ZKsyncIgnite season 🔥 Get ready to 🧑🌾 some lucrative APYs

.@UBS, Switzerland’s largest bank, is modernizing digital gold investments on @ZKsync. In a PoC for UBS Gold, they tested ZKsync Validium. The goal: To address scalability, privacy, and interoperability for global expansion. Let’s dive in👇

ZKsync has evolved into the Elastic Network: an ever-expanding cluster of chains with native interop, powered by ZK Stack. Many still conflate ZKsync and Era. They are not the same! Era is on track to become THE UNSTOPPABLE L2. Let me explain. Era is one of the chains in the elastic network, alongside @AbstractChain, @sophon, @cronosapp, @LensProtocol, @Treasure_DAO, @grvt_io, @XsollaZK, @RipioApp and many others. Being the first zkEVM, Era started as a general-purpose chain. But as we're moving towards the future of many interoperable L2s, chains are getting more and more specialized in specific verticals. There are gaming chains, consumer chains, tradfi chains, CEX chains, gov ID chains, etc. This is a natural evolution of business. Smaller talented teams will always emerge to outcompete everyone else in their zone of genius. To give an example: ZKsync has built the best rollup tech stack, so that Abstract could build the best onboarding experience for the mainstream audience. What does this mean for Era? Era plays several critical roles in the elastic chain ecosystem that no one else can take on: 1. Governance Hub ZKsync governance must happen on the most censorship-resistant and credibly neutral ground. Only Era can be this ground, as its upgradability is directly controlled by the Token Assembly. For the same reason it's critical for Era to reach Stage 1 and later Stage 2 rollup maturity. 2. Bridging and Infrastructure Hub Era has integrations with major exchanges, onramps and other infra parties. It would be prohibitatively hard to get them for every single appchain. But after the native interop goes live, all this integrations will work seamlessly across the entire elastic network. 3. Liquidity Hub Deploying the same Defi protocols across hundreds of chains is infeasible. On the other hand, with native interop, any user of any chains will have access to all the other chains in one click. It makes much more sense to concentrate the liquidity on one or a few chains with synchronously composable Defi protocols that will serve as financial centers. With $430M Defi TVL (+177% over the past month and growing) and ~$2b RWA TVL, Era is best positioned to play this role, and the Ignite program will further solidify it as the major liquidity hub. Given these critical functions, Era must fully live up to be the flagship chain of "Web3 without compromise" — as outlined in the ZKsync' tech roadmap: x.com/zksync/status/… In other words, Era must become The Unstoppable L2: 1) Add more layers of security (TEE, multiproofs). 2) Reach Stage 1, then Stage 2. 3) Decentralize sequencing, tackling both real-time censorship-resistance and protection against harmful MEV. This means: Era will be prioritizing decentralization, security, reliability, livness, and hardcore censorship-resistance. Not every app needs these properties—and frankly, if you don't, you will probably find a better home on another ZK chain in the elastic family. But if you do, there will be no better L2 for you in all of Ethereum and Web3 world. This especially applies to things like: ∎ DeFi — Era will be serving the entire elastic network. ∎ RWA and Payments — With ~$2 billion RWA TVL, Era has 27.5% of the global RWA market share, second only to Ethereum L1 (see app.rwa.xyz) ∎ Voting and Governance — Era will be the perfect credibly neutral ground for mission-critical protocols, for example government programs tracking public spending. ∎ Privacy protocols — especially those that require composability with public Defi ∎ Sovereign AI Agents *** What other types of protocols require these properties most? What else do you want to know about Era and the elastic network? If you are building on Era, or you're one the protocols that requires an Unstoppable L2 and are considering building on Era, what do you need and how can ZKsync community better support you?
