I have no problem with Ndindi Nyoro as he tries to fight EPRA for increasing fuel prices. However, how did we get here? Wakenya is mafala. We have been exposing Gloria Orwoba for supporting the finance bill 2024, for getting Edgar Wabwire arrested in June 2024 and for advocating for stricter government regulation of social media to limit public criticism of President William Ruto, now you want to spare Ndindi from same criticism why? As the Chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee in 2023, Ndindi Nyoro supported President William Ruto’s government proposal to increase VAT on fuel from 8% to 16%. He defended the move by challenging opposition alternatives and noting that the revenue was necessary for the budget. Budget and Appropriations Committee Chairperson Ndindi Nyoro brushed off attempts by the minority side to oppose the proposal to increase VAT on fuel, instead challenging them to offer other alternatives to raise revenue. “Those who may not agree with the amendment from the chair they should give us other revenue measures. You cannot have your cake and eat it,”- Nyoro.
