When I was a teen, you could just portscan and enumerate all your neighbors on the same DSL ISP as you. Everyone had their computers plugged right in the internet, few had a NAT router, early days of WiFi. You could try to open their shares, print to their printer, it was wild.

@lzsthw Love it. I fit in the “fixer” archetype at work, where I am happiest running into the biggest dumpster fires we have and trying to debug / fix all the broken crap.

Am I the only person who enjoys fixing bugs? Like I would happily take a part time job as a "Code Exterminator", just going through a bug tracker smashing bugs all day. Could be a great remote job since you mostly just work a bug tracker, possibly working with QA.

@tigheklory @eevblog 100% this. Pinecil is good / cheap iron. And I use it for the pins due to size. Prefer temp controlled station at mu desk.

@eevblog Lol it's a fine iron, I still use my Radio Shack temp controled iron when I'm at my bench, the pinecil is good when working inside a pinball machine.
