Russell Brand has lost his book deal, his agent and his tour has been cancelled. His Netflix shows have been pulled. Over allegations. Kevin Spacey’s career was ruined over allegations and he won the court case. But it will never be the same again. I hope that all of you who were preaching “be kind” when Caroline Flach killed herself over allegations of abuse remember that we have a culture of “innocent until proven guilty”. Hounding people in the media or on social media is horrific. In person is even worse. The despicable media (who have already convicted Brand) have spent the last two days revealing details of his houses where he lives with his wife and kids - his address, photos of his house, etc. What do you think they expected the result of that to be? I hope that the “be kind” brigade finds some of that kindness that they advocate.

@itsrichwilliams It’s ridiculous now. I have to drop my wife off at the LGI for work. Whitehall road is a joke since they shut dark arches. Then I have to endure the gyratory to get to work myself. Then said traffic is blocking the roundabout next to Dunelm. 🤮

The centre of Leeds is an absolute joke at the moment. All the surrounding routes clogged up on a daily basis. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… our city is being let down by its transport links and it needs fixing (please).

This junction, in Walsall, requires cyclists following the cycle route to use SEVEN pedestrian crossings! How long would that take if you had to wait for the signal at each one? 10 minutes 58 seconds!

@Mjford_10 Trim your nipple hair and cover them with plasters. Wear a sweatband on your wrist so that you can wipe your brow or eyes. Take the first 5k (3mi) slightly slower than your target pace. Have a clean pair of socks and T-shirt in your drop bag for the finish.

You know on the marathon? Any marathon, not just London… Your finish time is your finish time. Not the time you ‘went through 26.2’. Not the time minus your toilet stops. Did you know that?

@GraceOnFootball Henderson does this all the time - He shouldn’t have the ball here, VVD should. If Henderson occupies the central role, he can receive a pass from VVD, turn and play out to TAA. Elliott and Milner have created the pocket for Henderson, he just doesn’t occupy it.

Started watching Man Utd-Liverpool back and the problem is almost instantly visible. You've got all three midfielders tight to Man Utd and you still let them play straight through you and into the final third.

@andrewwoodroffe All about lack of specific (strength) training and ego - I’d guess that at least 90% of those doing Ironman can’t control their ego on the bike. Also, bonking on the run is an easy, well trodden excuse for people to use.

Looking at a lot of pro (and amateur) marathon run times in Ironman lately. It seems so many are biking super fast but then not running to potential or under 3 hours. For sure the bike is important but do people just hope for the best on the run and not prepare to attack this?

@andrewwoodroffe At least for a lot of age groupers I think it’s the fear of being “to slow” on the bike. Everybody want a fast bikesplit. So they are gambling with their run performance. So I guess it’s mainly an ego thing.
