@SONOFINDIA @NalinisKitchen We had smart boards when they were first a thing in the 00s. They soon stopped working and were more hassle. Ended up projecting onto a whiteboard, worked perfectly fine. Then they spashed out on these 6k each tvs and after a year all the pens are lost. Waste of money

@NalinisKitchen The problem is that half the time, these digital boards don't work, and on top of that, these schools don't have adequate content to run on these boards. Chalkboards are better.

1st photo is from a zero fees government school with a smart digital board. 2nd photo is from a private school that charges ₹30,000 per year. It has AC but does not have a smart digital board. In Gujarat, the government is seriously improving schools. Many old gov. school buildings were demolished and rebuilt in the same place with better infrastructure.

@Jamie171205 @arrivanortheast The bus stops were built so local buses could join up with the trains. The stations are miles from a lot of the town so thats the reason behind it. Ik for people who live my way the train doesnt make any difference because getting to the station is so difficult.

Fresh off @BBCBreakfast having awarded @northernassist Ashington station #WorldCupOfStations plaque, lovely to then travel 2 stops to witness official opening of brand new Blyth Bebside station on Northumberland Line. Line is on track to carry 1 million journeys in first year! Some services are being augmented by extra units to make a four-car set at peak times, it’s so popular. Schools and local groups have adopted some stations already en route - if you’d like to get involved in volunteering for the local @CommunityRail partnership project to do more fun things with these transformative stations - do get in touch with Fiona at @TVCRP.

@2wheelsgoodBrum It is a flaw. But theres only so much money for road schemes so thats how it normally is. LAs have a big list of stuff that needs doing, and then a list of stuff that would be nice to do. Obviously it would be great to remodel every road and make them all safer

@a1feeee1 Do you see the flaw in changing roads when people die? You are demonstrating the problem, a1feeee1.

@2wheelsgoodBrum That would be the case if all roads were defaulted to 20mph. Not against a lower default but 20 is a bit extreme. Meet in the middle at 40 and then its much less work in terms of restricting roads.

@a1feeee1 No one is asking anyone to drive everywhere at 20mph. It’s a simple idea. We should have set default speed limits decades ago.

@2wheelsgoodBrum Yes. So when accidents occur on the roads they get prioritised for speed restrictions and safety improvements. Even then people won't follow the signs of they can physically drive faster.

@a1feeee1 Yet too many drivers can’t drive at appropriate speeds. If they could, no one would die and there would be no speed limits needed.

@2wheelsgoodBrum And who on earth is going to drive at 20mph everywhere? Soon you'll need traffic calming on every road to make people stick to the speed limits, with that you need street lighting - so you'll have to put electricity up every road. Its a nice thought but 20 would be impractical

@a1feeee1 If we want to stop deaths twenty is plenty (as they say). Where higher speeds don’t lead to harm they can be applied.

@2wheelsgoodBrum The thing is with the UK is that most roads are derestricted so 60 in rural areas and 30 in built up areas as a maximum & it is up to the driver to drive at a speed appropriate for the conditions. Speed limits are only put in place on new roads and ones where speeding is an issue

@2wheelsgoodBrum I'd say maybe a default 40 limit with higher limits. But even then it'd cost loads to put in the signage and loads to evaluate every road in the country - most of which are "60" due to being derestricted (since local councils haven't seen inappropriate speed as an issue)

@railandroad Ive got a fantastic idea. Build this new line from London roughly following the WCML and go all the way up north and then you could run more trains!!!

@NewcastleCC It's a disgrace currentlyto say it looks like the outskirts of a 3rd world city is doscourteous to that city. Beggars, vagrants, smack rats, spice mime artists, deliveroo lunatics with no social skills or manners. First impression it's horrendous, what have you done to this city.

@NewcastleCC Hopefully cyclists, which currently inundate Northumberland Street, will be prevented from accessing the area, as they’re a nuisance and safety risk to pedestrians.
