I can't help but feel sorry for @BrentfordFC. They were the catalyst in getting Christian Eriksen back to Top form but @ManUtd prize him away . Anyone else feel sorry for them ?

@nataliesawyer @SHatcherLegal I recall when spurs won the semi final of champions league every player tweeted a picture or video form the changing room after. Eriksen posted a sponsored post about water. He's a player you can love on the pitch but doesn't give much of himself off it

@SHatcherLegal This is what has annoyed me more than anything. I understand the offer to Man U would have been too hard to down, financially and competitively but where's the gratitude and class? Such a shame his spell is tainted

The last player I saw as a youth at Spurs that was as much of a ‘sure thing’ as Alfie Devine was Harry Kane*. *to pre-empt those who might say ‘Kane wasn’t that good as a youth’, I fundamentally disagree and I’ve got the receipts 😂

@AlasdairGold Any true spurs fan will give him a proper send off. He's never acted in a disrespectful manner toward the club or fans. A player who showed a lot of promise , but just lost his way. I'll be sad to see him go, but also think that it's the right time for him and us. Wish him well

@NathanAClark Maybe the ball carrying is the key here? I have noticed that teams leave space in the middle to cover the wide channels, safe in the knowledge that neither Hojberg or Bentacur are going to try and carry the ball forward.

I don't think this even make a ton of sense from a purely on-pitch perspective. Definitely a very good PL-settled player at a good price - let's start by acknowledging that. Bissouma is a player I liked for Spurs back when we were in need of replacing Mousa Dembele but

It's a second rate competition now. I'd like to win it, but I'd rather a good league campaign. Would you swap places with spurs now?
