People are really going through it. This is why the gospel is soo important because there's really a limit to how much you can help another human being and vice versa.

Every night, at least 2 villages in Plateau state get attacked and people slaughtered. What sort of irresponsible government do we have here?

We quickly want to point out something about a missionary in the North. His name is Evangelist Isaac. His team and he have been holding crusades in the North. Of course, it is amidst hardship. But that has not stopped them. Now, in just two days, they step out in faith for their next Rural Crusade. Every plan has been carefully made, but they still need any support they can get. They still need assistance in these areas: Fuel and transportation: ₦70,000 remaining Chairs: ₦40,000 remaining. You can give via: Account Number: 0130025798 Bank: GTB Narration: Rural Crusade Account Name: Agada Isaac Eva God bless you abundantly as you partner with them, amen.

@bakarepheranmi My initial point is people lie about their skills despite not being certified or trained My point remains You can't treat all roles like an internship, you need special training for some roles. The end.

@daringkemi Training is ongoing as you do more work and get more responsibilities in practice, not everyone will do any special training in any field, if you are hyper fixated on training and certification you aren't ready to grow, just build more and have proof of work

@bakarepheranmi I mentioned training and certification, you left out the training part and are fixated on certification. You can't reach a level of expertise without training

@daringkemi Your proof of work and projects supercedes your certificate, so therefore, continue building. If you are into cyber security or cloud then chasing certification is good

In addition to this A lot of people lie about their skills, they would put software engineer kinikan on their resume. When you check, they don't have any professional certifications or training.

Before I tweet anything, I do research and actually ask people questions, especially when I don’t have internal info. A junior associate who’s a frontend engineer at Moniepoint sent me a screenshot alert of his last salary payment directly from his bank app. When I initially asked him for his pay, he said it’s not a fixed figure because they add bonuses that are not fixed, and he went ahead to send the last salary payment screenshot from his mobile app. I’ve trained so many engineers in Nigeria, like a lot. Probably one of the top three largest tech training institutions in the country. I know HNG is number one. So when someone says there’s no good talent in the country, I’m also not happy about it. But I need you to know that we’re a growing ecosystem. So many people reading this tweet right now cannot point to 10 desktop engineers they know, or five game developers. You probably don’t even know 10 motion designers too. I’m not saying we don’t have them. I’m saying that you, reading this right now, probably can’t name them because you don’t know them. There’s also a huge responsibility for large companies to invest in training and employee pipelines. That’s why I also complained about the Dangote issue last year. We have a problem, and we need to agree on that. But Nigerians are also hardworking and technically global. We can’t deny that, and we should not undersell it. If you’re reading this and you know a junior technical associate in Moniepoint who’s earning below 1M. Please DM me proof, and I’ll legit add a follow up tweet to my initial tweet and apologise.

Lol, it’s not even decent. It’s high. The entry-level salary (junior associate/intern) for any technical role at Moniepoint is 1M+ per month. The current issue is that the TL is now filled with fake screenshots and personal views painted as objective discussions.

We have to fix our judiciary to ensure that criminals and people who act wrongly, especially knowingly, are properly punished. Let me share a story. Sequel to repeated requests by a dealer in Abuja to sell our vehicles, I entrusted about a dozen Nord vehicles to him. This dealer went ahead to sell one of the vehicles without our knowledge and without remitting the proceeds to us. A brand new 55 million NGN bus. I reported the matter to the Police. I was advised to take it to court and obtain an order for recovery, as they know the dealer well, and he is well known to them for these scams. They expected he would offer to pay in instalments and then habitually default. As advised, I filed the case in November 2024. Since then, his lawyer has continued to employ different delay tactics, which, sadly, are working. Last year, another dealer attempted the same thing. This time, I involved the Police directly, and the vehicle was recovered immediately. We cannot keep watching people steal and defame others, and simply tell those wronged to go to court for only civil recourse when there are clear criminal elements involved. We have to fix the judiciary. Let’s ensure cases reach judgment faster, and delay tactics are severely punished. We have to encourage good behaviour and discourage bad ones. People with poor character are exploiting our judiciary.
