It is also Nepali though you fucking retard. Buddha was born in Nepal. What little remained of his Shakya clan had to migrate to Kathmandu and practice a mix of Hindu-buddhism till this day. India proper didn't exist back then and the whole subcontinent was lumped under "Tianzhu"

@cumingforurfave Buddha spoke magadhi prakrit, a language related to magahi, bhojpuri, and maithili. His kingdom was located what is today's madhesh -UP border. Nepalis like khas or tibeto Burmese newars have got almost nothing to do with early buddhism. That shakyan connection is fake.
