@wholemars You are informed and knowledgeable. Not contrarian. Those who do their own research are bullish on Tesla.

A lot of people are focused on when Tesla will catch up to Waymo, which is fair given that Waymo has thousands of driverless cars and Tesla only has a handful. But not enough people ask “When will Waymo catch up to Tesla?” 1. When will Waymo be able to take me on a coast to coast drive? 2. When will I be able to buy a Waymo? 3. When will Waymo cross 8 million cars that can run their software? 4. When will Waymo be able to work with no geofencing restrictions? My contrarian take is that it’s a lot easier for Tesla to catch Waymo than for Waymo to catch up to Tesla.

A massive amount of groundwork is needed to kickstart the operations side of a new Robotaxi service. It’s understandable for you and I to feel impatient, not seeing that effort translate into more unsupervised Robotaxis across more vehicles and cities. I sense the patient investor will be rewarded.

Tesla FSD 14.2.2.5 Ubered two young men to downtown Houston tonight to meetup with a couple of young women who are their dates. I had to wait nearly 7 minutes on them to get to the car, and when they got there, one had to go back in again real quick since he thought he forgot something. Since it was a Sunday night, I went ahead and waited. But instead of having a conversation with them since I was a little bit pissed, I just shut my mouth and turned on my music instead. Here are my general rules for young people getting into my Uber, if you're ready when I show up, I will let you select whatever music you enjoy, and even blast the bass, so you can get pumped up for your night. However, if you're late, especially this damn late, then you have to listen to music of my choosing. Somewhere tonight in downtown Houston, there are two young African American women wondering why their dates suddenly have Captain & Tennille in their Spotify playlist and their estrogen levels are higher than theirs.

I'm not gonna lie, after working 19 hours daily for nearly 3 weeks straight with no days off + witnessing bombings from Iran, it has not only burnt me out but has taken it's toll on me. It's really hard to be motivated to do anything. I can't travel as Iran has bombed the airport and Kuwait has closed all flights in/outbound until further notice so I can't get "refreshed". I'm pretty much stuck here. The markets in the GCC are also taking it's toll as little to nothing (shipping containers) is getting passed the Strait of Hormuz as liners are refusing to pass it due to fears of getting attacked. Food shortages could be an issue if this prolongs. I'm an optimistic guy for the most part and I know things will be much better after all this is over but damn, this is tough physically, mentally and spiritually.

This has been bothering me. For YEARS owners have pointed out the need for camera washers due to our real world driving. But Tesla didn't listen. They waited until they put 10 supervised robotaxis out and then went "ah shit these cameras are getting dirty." Why

Early adopters are believers and purchase outright. They have been part of the Tesla family, helping test and improve FSD since they bought it eight years ago. More skeptical new users are still testing the waters and have jumped in hesitantly. We own FSD on both of ours and have never questioned the decision. If we sell, the equity stays with the car and the value forecast is higher. Dividends ahead!

It’s fascinating to me that buying FSD in full is so much more popular than subscribing 70% of FSD users bought in full
