What's crazy to me is that Fable is blocked from life sciences broadly, nerfed even if you get passed the classifiers and filter level blocks. The whole point of AGI/ASI is to cure all diseases. Everything else is just nice to haves. But Anthropic wants to close off that path. I think Anthropic might be the worst company on the planet.

@norvid_studies I didn't enjoy working on cars. Often it was really painful to get to anything (bad angles, had to take out other stuff to get to something) while bikes you can move easily, walk around and everything is just there

@norvid_studies I haven't done work on a car other than battery/wipers for 15+ years. I used to build my PCs from scratch / scavenged parts and was constantly upgrading. In the last decade I have unscrewed my laptops once (to put in a new SSD)

@freed_dfilan I have been writing more, higher ambition software There are still many non accelarated bottlenecks like testing, patient recruitment, wetlab work and clinical validation. Looking back over 2 years it will be obvious though

I am once again asking where all the great new software enabled by the AI that really looks like it's great at building new software is.

@Silicon_alien A lot is too small to see. To examine the state of a living thing, you have to kill it, then do some chemistry to read a snapshot of a small part. This is less than ideal when the whole point of life is that it's alive, and is made of many moving parts.

why is biology difficult? do we have all the types but are missing the laws of their behavior? are we missing some types? do we have all the types but do not know all possible instances? do we know types, laws and instances but can not know their states?

i'm not much of a steam gamer but this is a fairly stunning fact to me. are there ways of visualizing this, to like just get a handle on the scope of it? like all the titles sorted by game genre? or images of the covers clustered by, similar? just a way to get a sense of it?
