Hello @irace,
When someone signs up to my product, using Link, they do not know what it is. They think they are paying for my product.
You are hijacking the relationship with my customer during my checkout flow, a customer I paid to acquire, and then communicating directly with them without my permission.
If I was using Stripe Managed Payments (MoR) then this would be acceptable.
You’d be assuming the same position as Steam, Apple, Shopify (App Store), etc.
Given I am not using MP and paying a fortune for billing, I think this is unacceptable.
(And to those who are pushing back — yes, this is pro consumer and I endorse it fully BUT brands should be sending these, not Link. Stripe Billing should offer these tools for the high fee it charges).

Something to be mindful of is Stripe “owning” your customers with LINK. For example, I wasn’t aware they’re emailing customers monthly with an unsubscribe prompt.

I understand your perspective and appreciate the feedback. We hope the benefits of accepting Link make it a net positive for you and your users but understand/respect if that isn’t the case. @danhilltech and I are always happy to hop on a call, and I hope that some of the new things that we’re working on may change your view in the future.
