@Erwin_AI Have you considered building an email course to educate users, reduce churn, and increase conversion? @Erwin_AI

@Cloudflare @stripe All we need is a "I made $10k with x402" post for this to become a billion dollar niche, I'd reckon 😂

Supply is probably there, but I'm seriously doubting demand. Maybe someone from @Cloudflare or @Stripe can offer some statistics or insights? How's adoption and throughput?

You've probably read about HTTP 402 "Payment Required" responses. Cloudflare and Stripe both offer ways to accept payments for content this way, especially nice for gating content from crawlers/AI. But.. does any scraper or AI actually pay for it? Anyone ever received $?

@geertjansloos @erwblo The landing page makes it sound like all of us on there are influencers, not builders. Really? You think that?

I see. I was never against monorepos, so I would happily put automated tasks and micro services in the monorepo. I understand there are valid arguments against monorepos, but LLMs bring a new big argument in favor of them. Also, with Claude code I've done cross-repo contexts, telling it from repl A to read a file providing the full path of repo B files. It worked well. Maybe cursor's cli can do the same.

When will Cursor support Cross-Workspace/Repo agents? I keep doing "Write a brief for the other team" > copy to other agent in other window/repo. I'm basically the human communicator in between. And I can't believe I'm the only one facing this kind of problem/workflow.

@dgrcode Bottomline is; I don't like/want monorepo for everything. We have lots of smaller repositories for automated tasks, codebases for microservices etc. Why I'm against monorepo is a small book worth of arguments, too much to type out.

@Erwin_AI What's the use case? My approach is to have as much as possible in the repo. Obviously all apps in a monorepo style, but everything that's not code related: marketing, legal docs, internal docs, notes, etc.

@lifeof_jer Can you please make an off-site backup and have that process automated, with no AI ever having access to them..

Is that marketing email tool really that expensive? Paying almost $500/month to send newsletters to < 50k users Any alternatives out there that are more affordable and easier to use?

@dwlz @stripe If they broke rules of the platform, there should naturally be consequences. But if it's true ARPU and conversion are higher, Apple should take notes.

@Erwin_AI @stripe so predictable to anyone in apple ecosystem. if you break the rules you will get the banhammer. out of app payment definitely doesn't increase ARPU though. saves commission but the conversion rate is abysmal, churn is higher, and direct chargebacks are common

i have more bad news for you i get a ton of DMs by open source application founders saying they have been thinking about this themselves for a long time, especially with Claude Mythos (and likely foreign models) we are happy to take the bullet if it drives awareness

Business rule number one: Try to keep the money in the business. Personal tax is high in pretty much any country in the world. Fastest way to get rekt. Don't try to get paid out everything to your personal account. It makes no sense. Why would you? Stay poor. Thank me later.
Juanjo Valiño@juanjovn

@yongfook @levelsio Not wrong for corporate, but as soon as you withdraw for personal use you pay pretty much the same afaik Anyways, I think that’d be a better optimization and most likely will hire advice. Just haven’t had this ‘problem’ so far 😅
