Update: On Sallah day, she came to our house and started again, telling my daughter she's not fine. I spoke up firmly and said I don't like it, that I don't want my daughter growing up with low self-esteem just because she's darker than her siblings.
She got upset, shouted that it was only play, that the child is always jovial with her so that's her way of joking. I told her again that I don't like it. She then acted like I disrespected her and started playing the victim.
Thankfully, her husband stepped in and told her that since I don't like the "joke," she should stop. After that, she didn't talk to me or the kids for the rest of the day.
Honestly, I don't care I'm just glad I stood up for my daughter.

Hi mamas I need your honest advice pls... My husband's uncle's wife has this habit of comparing my kids looks. Everytime we see, she jokingly calls my second daughter "Omo ti o fine" (the one that's not beautiful) while praising my first and last born. This has been going on for a long time. I wanted to confront her straight up, but my hubby says "just ignore her, she's like that." And none of her own girls even come close to my baby's glow and beauty yet she keeps doing this nonsense. I refuse to let anyone plant low self-esteem in my baby girl. Mamas, what would you do? Tell her to stop? or I should keep ignoring?
