Our beloved Sam cat is in vet hospital with a blocked bladder which has caused damage to his heart and kidneys. We are so upset. Two operations happening this morning to try and save him. We remain hopeful .😿

@cm_bagot I’m on the other side of it. 15 days of misery followed by 3 more weeks of coughing and sleepiness and brain fog. The last 2 weeks have been back to normalish

now entering week four of covid. still coughing, still aching. little energy or enthusiasm. having moments of joy but boy, they're few and far between.

Went for my pre op assessment for my cataracts this morning. All fine except my BP. Sky high, yes well 10 mins late will do that to you! Promised op within 6 weeks! Also opted for taking a cancellation slot if possible so 🤞🏻. Buttons made by Matt after seeing similar online. 💕

A mother has written a touching note to the teenager who taught her daughter how to use her skateboard and it’s now gone viral: "Dear teenage boy at the skate park: You’re probably about 15 years-old, so I don’t expect you to be very mature or for you to want a little girl on your skate ramp for that matter. What you don’t know is that my daughter has been wanting to skateboard for months. I actually had to convince her that skateboarding wasn’t just for boys. So when we walked up to the skate park and saw that it was full of teenaged boys who were smoking and swearing, she immediately wanted to turn around and go home. I secretly wanted to go too because I didn’t want to have to put on my mom voice and exchange words with you. I also didn’t want my daughter to feel like she had to be scared of anyone, or that she wasn’t entitled to that skate park just as much as you were. So when she said, 'Mom it’s full of older boys,' I calmly said, 'So what, they don’t own the skate park.' She proceeded to go down the ramp in spite of you and your friends flying past her and grinding rails beside her. She only had two or three runs in before you approached her and said 'Hey, excuse me …' I immediately prepared to deliver my 'She’s allowed to use this park just as much as you guys' speech when I heard you say, 'Your feet are wrong. Can I help you?' You proceeded to spend almost an hour with my daughter showing her how to balance and steer, and she listened to you – a feat not attained by most adults. You held her hand and helped her get up when she fell down and I even heard you tell her to stay away from the rails so that she wouldn’t get hurt. I want you to know that I am proud that you are part of my community, and I want to thank you for being kind to my daughter, even though your friends made fun of you for it. She left the skate park with a sense of pride and with the confidence that she can do anything, because of you." Credit: Jeanean Thomas

covid has given me an unpleasant after effect of muscle pain. normal apparently but so achy. not bouncing back.

@cm_bagot It seemed to find every joint I’d ever sprained or broken or had surgery on and decided to make those spots miserable. No fun

On special days Marlene just loves having a big dinner with her family and it shows on her face every time. Note the men were in change of dinner so no china plates, crystal glasses, or fine wine on the table. Just bottled water. How fancy was that!

Dubrovnik today with a death wish bus driver over the sheer drop feckin mountain roads - l actually lit 2 candles in the church once we were off the bus- came back by boat! 😂

There was Birthday afternoon tea in the newly finished Little House in the garden. I was given a glass of Prosecco. 🍾🥂We didn’t eat it all!! The sun shone and we had the doors wide open. Stuffed now and settling down to watch a film. Have a good evening.

Today I am playing ‘house’ having had my bookcases finally fitted and can open boxes that were sealed up 8 mths ago! The room needs decorating, but all the big interior jobs are now done - whew!

Delivery driver just recognised me from school/being friendly with my wee brother. I recognised him when he told me his name. He said You are just as pretty (eye of the beholder etc.) as you were all those years ago! Wether it was true or not doesn't matter, he made me smile!

all of this in spades for me today. trying absorb the death of a dear friend. lately we had shared many memories. now we no longer can. she is another whole huge chapter in my memory bank.
