Six men have been found guilty of a range of offences in relation to the historical sexual abuse of a child in Yorkshire. The victm was between the ages of 12 and 15 when the abuse took place in the Calderdale area between 2006 and 2009. They were charged and a six-week trial began in February, and six of the men were found guilty. They were: Mohammed Adnan, aged 44, found guilty of one count of sexual assault Mohammed Shebhan, aged 42, found guilty of two counts of rape. Amazar Ali, aged 53, found guilty of two counts of sexual activity with a child. Naveed Anjum, aged 49, found guilty of one count of sexual activity with a child. Imran Hussain, aged 50, found guilty of attempted rape Adal Manaf, aged 48, found guilty of one count of rape. They have been remanded into custody and will be sentenced on May 22

The Pakistani national groomed the child, forced her to watch pornographic sex acts on his phone, and assaulted her in her own bedroom and on a park bench. He arrived in the UK in December 2024 claiming persecution, pleaded not guilty and made the terrified girl give evidence in court. Jailed for 15 years, then deported back to Pakistan.

An illegal asylum seeker accused of abusing a schoolgirl on a train told a court he touched himself in front of her because he has a skin condition. Abdulmanon Aliev, 50, who is from Tajikistan, took of his shorts and pants off assaulting the teenager on a train between Chalkwell and Fenchurch Street Stations on 16 June last year. He touched her chest, put his hand under her tights to penetrate her, and then tried to orally rape her on the train.

He held her head under sewage water until she passed out, then defecated on her face while she lay unconscious. The terrified mum-of-three swallowed sewage and believed she was going to die. Admitted GBH with intent. Jailed for 15 years and 3 months plus extended licence.
