Yes, credible evidence exists from multiple biographies (e.g., Lillian Faderman's "Harvey Milk: His Lives and Death" and Randy Shilts' "The Mayor of Castro Street"). In 1964, Milk (age 33-34) began a romantic/sexual relationship with Jack Galen McKinley (age 17, born 1946). They lived together later in California; it lasted into the early 1970s. No charges were ever filed. This doesn't fit clinical pedophilia (attraction to prepubescents), per APA standards.

When people asked why I wanted to change Harvey milk blvd, almost all of them didn’t know Harvey had sexual relations with a minor boy.
Many still didn’t care after the fact.
