UI/UX design changed my life, and it can change yours too. If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me, “Is there really money in UI/UX design?”—I wouldn’t be a billionaire, but I’d have a solid stack of cash😂. Jokes aside in a bid to answer this question I thought it wise to share highlights in my product design journey that reaffirms that i chose the right skill When I first moved to Lagos, I crashed on a friend’s couch. I wasn’t starving, but I was far from the life I wanted. Then I discovered UI/UX design—and everything changed: ✨ A fully furnished 3-bedroom apartment in a good Lagos estate. ✨ Got my first car (no more hustling for Ubers!). ✨ Upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro and replaced most of my devices to apple products, airpods, Iwatch you name it (Yes i'm an apple fan boy) ✨ Got a wonderful workspace with recent gadgets like Macbook pro, Logitech mouse, a top tier monitor, Magic Keyboard, and co. ✨ Investments in land In the top cities in Nigeria. ✨  A thriving design course, training hundreds of designers & even employing a team. The crazy thing is all these happened in less than a year, although these are just a few things as I cannot share all I own or plan to own, I just made this post to encourage an up-and-coming UI/UX designer there's money here, however, I would be lying to you if I told you that it comes easily, there were days I wanted to quit, projects that made me question everything, and moments where success felt impossible. As long as you keep pushing and designing and showing up, your story will be just like this perhaps way better. I am cheering you on if you're reading this, keep going.
