@dmay_ot Glad you enjoyed it! We had the best time - not the best timing, but the best time.

@BestOfDullMen Someone told me they knew when post WW2 rationing was over because they were allowed to butter the holey side.

@squinteratn In Shropshire there were a lot wearing tweed. Thank you for asking the question, I was wondering what it was in aid of.

@_MissieBee @jpembroke I got v grumpy when my august born was described as having met the expected standards for a 5yo at the end of reception. She was still 4!!!! I knew she'd exceeded expectations! She aced primary and is straight top sets for GCSE.
English

Are they SEND or are they August-born?
Cannot keep up with all the notes I want to write from @jpembroke’s session!

@callybeaton I have a .org email address. I give it to people. A lot read it back .org.uk. And you know? If they can't listen, I don't want to hear from them again so it works well!

Lifetime achievement mansplain alert: Arrived to give a speech. Holding slide had me down as Carry Beaton, so I said I was Cally, if they could change it. The guy said he’d been told it’s definitely Carry. I said no, it’s me - I’m Cally so it does need changing. He showed me an email he’d been sent to prove it really is Carry, not Cally. Even I began to wonder.

@ottheorypraxis We've found that the more we offer training about sensory processing, the more referrals we get for 'sensory'. Your post has confirmed any future training on sensory will have a precis of your post at the start and end.

@Teacherglitter Plus, if they do well at SATS they will be predicted outstanding GCSEs in y7 and spend the next 5 years struggling to meet their expected grade of 9. My y10 is getting 6-8s but not meeting expected standards so has changed career options because she feels inadequate.

@VerandaThought @MrEFinch Teachers are often surprised when I tell them there are 8 senses (in the context of their child who cannot sit still, makes funny noises, eats pencils etc).

@Teacherglitter Our only election is the police commissioner. I have no idea who is standing, no candidate can be bothered to communicate with us. I nearly went to vote because not turning up feels wrong, but I couldn't face coming home to get my passport and going out again. 1st time no vote.

@QEMrsWright I've used Ms since I legally became an adult. Titles are whatever you want them to be. I'd rather not use one at all. I don't often use my surname either!

@PaulaMc007 @AutisticDoctor We could just scrap society and rebuild it with an expectation that most people shouldn't fit in small boxes and ensure that all sorts of people are accepted for who they are. We're a better species if we're diverse.
English

@AutisticDoctor #Oliverscampaign
I often wonder who designed the original diagnostic profile for autism.
I do believe that we should scrap it & start again with only autistic people designing the diagnostic profile & criteria

@Mad_Anne_Flint @adamfare1996 I worked with a child who said "I can't follow instructions,I have ADHD". I told them if they wanted to do cycle skills, they had to follow instructions or it would be dangerous. They could be very compliant. Distracted and impulsive, but fine with clear timely instructions.
English

@adamfare1996 there's also the enablers that are like "he's autistic he can't help it." when the kid can fully understand "no, we don't hit people, that's not nice"
