Rachel eventually got home from A&E at 4am. Everyone is OK - but a little shaken. The car front is a mess. Now speaking to insurers.

@DavidGWrigley Does this all tie in with the European 37 hours a week legislation? Sounds like something will have to give at some point.

We now have our hire car - a Corsa 1.4 doesn't quite feel the same as our Audi which has now been towed to the garage for assessment.

Our car is being repaired - which is pretty amasing considering the size of the dent!!!

Our poor car is still in the garage waiting for parts for it to be repaired. Ho Hum. Hoping for it be ready early next week.

Oh well - sitting at home drinking a bottle of £3 South African white wine we just bought from LIDL's - not bad actually!

Looking forward to our trip to the lakes at the end next week. I expect the mountains will be white - so not sure how much walking we'll do
