@nowayjomo @emilyhewertson @lorraine_teuten Sigh. There it is again. Yet another Labour supporter hurling the worn out 'racist' moniker. Thanks to people like you actual racism will make an unwelcome return. How long will this government enquiry last? Years Decades? That 'my dear' is bollocks.

Rupert Lowe promised a Rape Gang Inquiry Report, for every young girl betrayed by decades of state failure. Today, he delivered exactly that; a 200-page dossier exposing the darkest scandal in modern Britain. All while donating his parliamentary salary to charity every month. Whatever your politics, you have to respect that. Rupert Lowe deserves a peerage.

@nowayjomo @emilyhewertson @lorraine_teuten So if it's not 250k what is then? 0? 100? 1000? 10000? 100000? How many is too many before people like you start getting a bit worked up? Yet here you are posting this unsubstantiated shit from 'official bodies', and just conclude it's all bollocks.

@nowayjomo @Georgehstqx @emilyhewertson @lorraine_teuten “The report is widely viewed as politically partisan. It frames the issue almost exclusively through the lens of immigration and race rather than broader institutional failures. The recommendations heavily reflect the ideological manifesto of Lowe's political party”

@DuncanMcFarlan @elonmusk So you've read all 219 pages and you've concluded that it's all bollocks. Can you cite specific parts that are 'bollocks'? Then you engage in whataboutery as if we should just turn a blind eye to it? It is the contents of (or lack of) your cranium that is bollocks pal.

@elonmusk Made up bollocks. Sarah Champion MP already admitted she had no basis for her 100k claim. Many grooming gangs and 85% of paedophile ring members are white. Victims include non-white children and teenagers.

@jamzefish @statsjamie And the how is what people are interested in. If the how is digital Id you'll find it's very unpopular, hence my previous post.

@dmw157 @statsjamie A manifesto is high-level what, not how. You are assuming digital ID will be used for age verification.

🚨 Only 1 in 6 parents put a social media ban first. More preferred targeted limits on risky features or curfews. Yet Starmer is going all in anyway. Another big Government policy they never clearly put in the manifesto. And here’s the obvious question 👇 How do you ban under-16s from social media without forcing adults into age checks, facial scans or digital ID? Child safety — or digital ID by the back door? 🔐

@jamzefish @statsjamie Sure, they'll use credit cards/passports/driver's licences first. Then people without those will not be able to confirm it so they'll shift to biometrics via the government's One Login. So yes, it will be digital Id.

Maxi - News from Hell...and Europe.
All UK Adults and all visitors to the UK will still be “allowed” (that is the word used in the fine print) to use the platforms… Only once they have: Handed over facial recognition, digital ID, passport, or credit card details to prove they’re not a child. (No details on how this data is secured or protected from misuse or hacking, who is storing it, where, who has access) Step 1: Link your real identity to your location via IP and your speech. Step 2: Police have a lovely searchable database of all data and locations of every UK adult, and what they read, write, view. Every spicy take, meme, cartoon, comment, or political analysis. Step 3: bring in the consequences - arrests, travel ban, debanking, for out-of-bounds speech. This is fascism. The only country that does this is North Korea. Even China doesn't have this level of authoritarian control of it's populace.

@PaffyPete @statsjamie Where? If you're talking about X then no, it hasn't. Even if it had that's very different to a government mandated digital Id.

@statsjamie I'm pretty certain that action against social media harms for kids was in the manifesto.

@AchiestDragon @statsjamie They'll all get VPNs or go on the darkweb and probably be exposed to some real horrors out there. Content filtering *set up by parents* might help, but even then they'll get around it. This is isn't about protecting kids, as government action from this and previous ones has shown

the bigger point is if you do ban kids from social media where they going to go , as the only sites they will find accept them are the unregulated ones with no moderation or checks a far worse place to be than the regulated social media platforms , actualy a better solution would be age related cotent filtering on accounts where the user is not old enough , at least then the kids are still on a platform that has moderation and are not just dumed seraching the dark web for a place to hang out , but seems the right thing is not in the minds of those forceing other legislation that actively dumps them there

@EnergyMix_UK @statsjamie Utterly meaningless, and probably funded by the fucking government. That said, since you clearly agree with this farce, it's notable that they didn't include - 'by the way we'll need to verify every single adult digitally'. I bet that would swing the result.

@aNorthernGarden @statsjamie That's the same with all despicable governments and NGOs like the WEF. They know damn well nobody would vote for such shit, so they don't ask and do it anyway.

@zarahussain999 I'll safely predict that your response will be to hurl the word 'racist' a millionth time, with a side-dish of whataboutery about all the other filthy white native monsters we have, while failing to acknowledge the victims statements and the horrors they had to endure..

The thing is, the ban doesn't affect adults. So why are adults getting so angry about children being banned from something that any half-decent adult knows is bad for them? Every single adult getting mad about this on Twitter is proof that they themselves aren't affected by it!
Kieran Edmunds 🇬🇧@ESCKieran03

I am going to say this bluntly You are a FAILURE as parents if you can't keep you child off social media yourself YOU bought them the phone YOU can confiscate it during homework YOU are the parent, NOT Keir Starmer Authoritarian ban for your "convenience" is not the answer

@CalexOnline @PolitlcsUK Well it's at device level, so will go to Google/Apple, who with their fluid T+C's will share it with 3rd party verification services (eg gov, MC/Visa for cards, or DVLA for DL). Then there will be a breach, so governments solution will be digital Id. After that, everyone.

Today I've agreed with @eucopresident that we will hold the second UK-EU summit on 22 July. My Labour Government is delivering on our promise to reset our relationship and put Britain at the heart of Europe. Together we will tackle the cost of living, boost jobs and create opportunities for young people.

Elon Musk is taking legal action against ZDF, a German public broadcaster, over the network’s coverage of the riots in Belfast. A ZDF presenter said that a racist mob had been “hunting down migrants” and that this had been called for by “tech billionaire Elon Musk.” Musk responded on X, stating, “Legal action is being taken against ZDF for their outrageous lies.” There is no evidence that Musk called for violence against migrants. Instead, he said, “Only by protesting REPEATEDLY and LOUDLY will there be any change!!” The riots started after an asylum seeker attempted to behead a local man in Belfast. The suspect was later identified as Hadi Alodid, from Khartoum, Sudan. Khartoum is currently under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood-backed Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). There is a strong likelihood that Alodid grew up witnessing beheadings before migrating to the UK. The Labour government still doesn’t seem to understand that when people migrate, they don’t automatically discard the cultural and social programming of their home countries.
