Remembering John Denver, who would have turned 81 today. I wasn't a huge fan of Denver during his heyday in the 1970s, but this first-rate episode from one of my favorite podcasts, @MoRocca's Mobituaries, fostered amazement, admiration, and appreciation. bit.ly/4iVGjGh

@KingOfPhinland A lot of the starters were rested that day, as the Dolphins had clinched the division. Earl Morrall threw three interceptions and Benny Malone had trouble running the ball, but some long TD passes to Melvin Baker (who?) gave the Fins the win.

DID YOU KNOW?
The Dolphins largest comeback in franchise history was on December 15th, 1974 against the Patriots. Miami erased a 24-0 deficit to defeat the Patriots 34-27. I didn’t get to witness it myself, but curious how many Dolphins twitter fam witnessed it! Let me know⬇️

@OmarKelly @DavidJNeal You’re actually the reason why I got serious about twitter. I had had an account for a while but never used it, but then I saw you posting play by play in practices involving Leonte Caroo and Bobby McCain and now I had a reason to hang in this space. It’s been a good ride.

I’m one of the select media members invited out to see the Dolphins practice on their second day of OTAs.
It’s one of the most exclusive days in sports, and I don’t take these opportunities for granted. I don’t take this job for granted (not anymore).

@RetroCoast Loving v Virginia in 1967 was one step in the right direction. But I’m guessing a lot of Thomas Jefferson’s kids were “mulatto,” as you say, so just because you are ignorant of something doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

Dolphins and Pro-Bowl RB De'Von Achane reached agreement today on a four-year, $68 million contract extension that includes $32 million guaranteed, as @Schultz_Report reported.
