It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing. Gareth Davies would often recite this to me. We would sometimes, towards the end of a match, dinner or event, sit next to each other and have a ‘Shakespeare off’, my classical acting training against his enormous memory. He would always win. And his favourite was this speech. We would sometimes say it in unison and then fall about laughing at the daftness of it all. When I read it now, having learnt of his passing today, I recognise the significance. Brief candle. And yet a flame that illuminated so many lives. I’ve had messages and phone calls today from people all around the game. He was a small Welsh fly half and kit man, but his reach did o’erstretch the sport. Until we meet again… goodnight my friend.

I did it! 13th place- 1450 miles, 5 days 20hours time, 18 1/2 hours sleep. The body was broken and hugely tired- but I have made some great memories and learnt a huge amount about myself. The key thing- is you helped me raise over 7k for @BrainTumourOrg - thank you!
