CBS has found the show that will take over the 11:30 timeslot after Stephen Colbert exits "The Late Show." It's "Comics Unleashed," the stand-up show from Byron Allen.

Why aren't we seeing more Carnell Tate to Titans at #4? WR is a huge need for Tennessee.

We know NFL teams can vary wildly from pre-draft groupthink. Today, you will probably see one of these names at 27. KC Concepcion Caleb Lomu Cashius Howell Omar Cooper Denzel Boston Give me your darkhorse 49ers picks nobody has in rd1. I'll start: Gabe Jacas

@Jordan_Reid The classic way to do this has historically been option 1, but with this class I wonder if option 2 might be better if Tate is still available at 6.

Fascinating discussion for the #Browns at No. 6 overall. You never want to limit yourself to certain positions, but WR and OT are two clear holes. Which one do you take first? • Option 1: Top OT at 6 / Best available WR at 24 • Option 2: Top WR at 6 / Best available OT at 24

@MattHarmon_BYB Wonder if NFL teams should add position specialists that focus only on players at one position to their current scouting infrastructure. May be worth considering.

#49ers GM John Lynch says team is spending $9 million to improve rehab and recovery facilities, particularly in hydro areas. Lynch says no changes to the training staff but team is adding three more staff members with a physical therapy concentration.

Since the NFL doesn’t seem interested in getting rid of any existing rights holders for the rights cycle through 2033, by the time this is an issue, Carr will be long gone.

@BDPeacock @WilliamsonNFL As a fan of the draft who doesn’t watch CFB the draft stocks of Bain, Delane and Lemon have my head spinning. Players with these physical profiles never go in the first round, but all are being projected top 15. What am I missing?

@BrandonThornNFL All fair points. But have NFL Teams historically drafted players with these characteristics in the top 15?

There are “heavy” bodied players in the trenches. It’s not always obvious on film, but it shows up over time. These are densely-built players who carry real weight through contact. Hands, helmet, frame—everything has force behind it. You feel it when they strike. You see it in how defenders react. It’s not strictly tied to length. You can have it with shorter arms, longer arms. It’s more about how force is delivered and how it transfers once engaged. Some of it lives in gray areas technically. Hands into the chest, head placement, etc. Not advocating for anything outside the rules—but it’s part of the reality of NFL play and always has been. After a decade studying the trenches, and being around hundreds of NFL OL at OL Masterminds, it’s become more noticeable. Not everyone has it. Bain strikes me as one of those guys. It won’t override everything, but it helps mitigate length concerns. Especially when you pair it with his ability to bend.

Rueben Bain may not cross the threshold of arm length that a lot want to see but it is pretty clear that he is a full-grown man with the demeanor, twitch and power to be a good NFL player.

The 49ers could have traded up 4 spots for DK Metcalf. Or stayed put and drafted Terry McLaurin. Instead, they drafted preseason hero Jalen Hurd.
