My thoughts…. The stadium should not “have some fountains” It should BE a fountain. The stadium should not “have a crown” It should triumphantly crown the skyline. It should be a place you are nostalgic for before ever setting foot inside. A memory of the future.

@benclarkson @MarlonEttinger Cluny and his horde arrive on a horse-drawn cart, an animal so much larger than a rodent that it could essentially trample a mice-castle without even noticing, and yet Cluny never uses this to his advantage. This Brian Jacques guy has A LOT to answer for imo.

Baseball wedge issue. Is the fence there to mark where a ‘home run’ is, and the point of baseball is to cultivate/generate ‘home runs’ as much as possible? Or is the fence a necessary-evil because an infinite spatial quadrant (the platonic form of a baseball field) can’t be built in practice? And the point of baseball is for the batter to hit ‘em where they ain’t? And if a fielder *can* get there (fence or not) then the batter didn’t do that? A: It’s the latter.

@danramblesand @pinglyadya That creates a wall that’s more than 4” thick. Most gyp is 5/8” or 1/2”. If it’s just one one side, sure. Otherwise you’re at least 1/2” past the nominal size. In fact, if you’re using 5/8 gyp you’re closer to 5”.

@pinglyadya And it honestly works out fine because we use drywall, which basically fills in the gap. So a four inch deep wall is just a two by four with two pieces of drywall.
