Labour hiked taxes by £66 billion - and still can't stop BORROWING. February borrowing alone hit £14.3 billion this year - the highest February monthly borrowing since the pandemic. Debt interest alone now tops £100 billion. That's double the defence budget. We're piling debt onto the next generation because Starmer and Reeves refuse to control spending. Rachel Reeves has mismanaged the economy and made irresponsible choices. She's scrapped spending cuts. Hammered businesses. Punished wealth creators. And what's the result? Debt levels we haven’t seen since the 1960s. Enough is enough. Britain must live within its means.

Government borrowing has surged to £14.3bn, nearly doubling official forecasts and marking the second-highest February on record #Echobox=1773993214" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">thetimes.com/business/econo…

Iran executed the 19-year-old champion, Saleh Mohammadi for protesting the Khamenei regime. Nothing from Greta Thunberg, Gary Lineker, Charlotte Church, sectarian Muslim politicians. No hunger strikes on University campuses. Where have all the “human rights” activists gone?

I am a happy customer of Mullvad (there are other good VPN companies too but Mullvad is top notch). I use it to keep my family safe. The very idea that the UK government is harassing the good guys and demonizing internet security is mad. UK Labour party? I'm looking at you. You know me. You know how to talk to me. Get real about Internet policy.
Freddie New@freddienew

The UK may be doing everything it can to shut down free expression and to monitor every second of our lives. But at least we have allies like @mullvadnet , literally out in the streets, fighting our corner. It's a strange world where a VPN company is fighting for the rights of citizens that are being attacked by their very own government, but it's the world we live in; and we're lucky to share it with Mullvad. "On the one hand, censorship and mass surveillance are escalating in the UK, through new laws, government pressure and proposed legislation. On the other hand, criticism of censorship and mass surveillance is being blocked through processes that are arbitrary and – to use their own words – unclear."

Our TV ads – under the concept And Then? – were banned in the UK, by Clearcast (an organization formed by the major TV channels in the UK which, on behalf of the authorities, must approve all TV advertising in the UK). Their arguments included: · “The overall concept lacks clarity.” · “It is unclear why certain examples are included, who the ‘speaker’ represents, and the role of individuals depicted in the car.” · “Several examples (e.g., paedophiles, rapists, murderers) risk causing serious offence and could imply that the VPN facilitates criminal activity.” · “Referencing topics such as: Paedophiles, Rapists, Murderers, Enemies of the state, Journalists, Refugees, Controversial opinions, People’s bedrooms, Police officers, Children’s headsets … is inappropriate and irrelevant to the average consumer’s experience with a VPN.” We think their arguments are nonsense. On the one hand, censorship and mass surveillance are escalating in the UK, through new laws, government pressure and proposed legislation. On the other hand, criticism of censorship and mass surveillance is being blocked through processes that are arbitrary and – to use their own words – unclear. When we tried to criticize the TV ads ban through outdoor ads, they were also banned by government bodies. We believe the situation is both Orwellian and Kafkaesque. You can watch all the banned ads and read more about escalating mass surveillance and censorship in the UK on our site: mullvad.net/and-then/uk And then? When our ads were banned on British TV, we took them to the streets instead and projected them onto walls in London.

None of Philips electronics products are owned or made by Philips Only their medical devices still are They sold literally everything (even their lights division) Now they license the Philips logo to whoever wants it Yes you too can make anything and pay them some money to stick the Philips logo on top of it It all means nothing!

@levelsio Got so much respect for Phillips as a brand for some reason Since their CRT monitors that slapped. What a beauty. Myb PSV too. But now I buy their toothbrushes. Kinda like Braun and Dieter Rams. They fumbled it somehow.

Dan, Are you having a laugh? How can a property company with properties approx £6m value be spending £1.8 m (30%) pa on property expenses? Year in year out. That stinks Political parties are taxable on trading and commercial income. This Labour company has never paid corporation tax in 24 years despite over £30 million of income…. Either they are spectacularly incompetent or something very improper appears to be going on @Gabriel_Pogrund
Dan Neidle@DanNeidle

It's not that surprising that a property holding company owned by a political party makes a teensy taxable profit. It is surprising it's failed to file accounts. Potentially an offence (albeit one that's almost never prosecuted).

So @UKLabour @TorstenBell must explain why Labour propco, Labour Party Properties Ltd earnt over £30 million rents since 2000 yet paid ZERO corporation tax 🤔 @Gabriel_Pogrund @DanNeidle seems very high admin & property expenses coincidentally wipe out rents 🤔 Latest accts 6 mths overdue 👀

It’s simple, they are not hypocrites, they avoid tax cleverly where they can and they advocate for a cut in welfare spending in order to cut down tax on everyone as well. All their actions are completely inline with their policies and beliefs which they campaign on. That’s the opposite of Labour, which is a party of frauds who live by one set of rules for themselves and another set of rules for everyone else. People are sick of this hypocrisy and double standards and a do as I tell not as I do attitude. Britains deserves reform.

Most are out there struggling with bills, and then you see Richard Tice's company avoided £600,000 in tax while making millions? It's the same old story. Different tie, same tricks. How is this "anti-establishment"? People are starting to see through your nest feathering project Nigel.
