Congress isn’t illegally “hiding” these sexual harassment payouts. They literally wrote the law that created a special secret fund in the Treasury. That’s why the money doesn’t show up in normal House or Senate spending reports everyone can see. They made the rules that only require vague, limited disclosure. On March 5, 2026, only 65 Members of Congress voted to release the names of those who used this slush fund to pay off claims. 357 voted to send it to committee — knowing it will never see the light of day. They created the system. They protect the system. They could fix it tomorrow if they wanted to. Taxpayers are footing the bill and still being kept in the dark.
